Instagram and Facebook uploads from a PC — half the phone limits

Facebook and Instagram hand a Windows PC about half of what the phone app allows, even through Meta Business Suite.

  • :framed_picture: Instagram carousels — 20 images on the phone, 10 through Business Suite
  • :clapper_board: Reels — 180 seconds on the phone, 90 seconds through Business Suite
  • :musical_note: Music — added in the phone app

Where do you find the full phone allowance on a Windows machine? Any route that keeps the desktop workflow and gets the phone limits?

:unlocked: Your PC is not the problem — the door is, and the ceiling sits in the API

Check one thing first: open Instagram in your PC browser and try selecting 20 photos.

Meta’s own help for the computer platform reads “select up to 20 photos and videos from your computer” — the website keeps the full carousel.

The 10-photo ceiling belongs to Business Suite, and to every tool built on the publishing API.

The ceiling is not your machine. It is the door you use.

:bus_stop: Five doors, and what each one really gives you

the door the allowance what it needs
:puzzle_piece: Your own browser, no tool 20 slides · Reels stay short here, and no music nothing to install
:satellite_antenna: Mirror the phone you own 20 slides · 3-minute Reels · the music shelf a phone, a cable or Wi-Fi
:mobile_phone: Android in a PC window the same three, as long as the app runs virtualization on, a phone-like profile
:spiral_calendar: A scheduler posting through the API Reels up to 15 minutes · carousels stop at 10 · music on a Facebook-linked account somewhere to host it
:test_tube: A phone in the cloud whatever the installed app gives — often the full three an account, and the app installed

The one wall you cannot walk around: music.

The licensed shelf lives inside the app and nowhere else.

Business Suite’s audio tools apply to Facebook only, and Instagram’s own music help keeps that shelf in the app.

A desktop route either runs the app — mirror or container — or reaches music through the audio API on a Facebook-linked account.

20 slides and longer Reels are a matter of picking the door.

None of these asks for your password.

Post your result in this thread — the door you used and the allowance you got.

Numbers help the next person more than opinions.

Carousels through any API stop at ten[1].

A container that looks like a phone is easier to notice than a real handset on Wi-Fi[2].

  1. the per-tool limit table above shows the same number everywhere ↩︎

  2. mirroring your own phone avoids that conversation ↩︎

Desktop does not allow more than 10 images for carosal, phone does - iphone or bluestacks, it dont matter. the meta busieness suit is so f%$#ed up - what is sched in content is true, what show in planer is bust. it will give un true picture. peeple are abuse meta, it still dont listen. saw one statement that dont curse, make them use mbs for a week. they keel over die.
and the beta meta ai is full of halucinat … it can acess the acount, but tell you thing which is oposite of what you see on phone/bluestack.
meta try to be smart, they break every exprince to make sinergy in apps, end up in sh$%.
