1. Hey everyone, I'm a complete beginner to TikTok geo-targeting, but I got really inspired by a great post on here a while back that talked about reaching audiences in specific countries (like the UK/US). Unfortunately, I think the author deleted the post before I could take proper notes. Since I'm starting from scratch, could you guys share the best, currently working ways to target a specific country on TikTok? Specifically: * **Is getting a local SIM card (e.g., UK/US SIM) enough on its own?** * What else do I need to prevent TikTok from detecting my actual location (VPN/residential proxy, factory resetting an old phone, changing region/language, etc.)? * Any common beginner mistakes I should avoid so my account doesn't get shadowbanned or stuck in my local region's algorithm? Any advice, step-by-step guides, or tools you recommend would be massively appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The question still open in here is the Etsy one, and it has a …

A foreign SIM card alone won’t trick TikTok’s advanced location tracking. The algorithm ruthlessly cross-checks your internet connection, hardware fingerprints, and system settings. If even one thing doesn’t match up (like having a US SIM card but your phone’s clock is set to European time), TikTok …

This means the IP address stays exactly the same while you are using the app, rather than rotating every few minutes. Here are the best budget-friendly options that are highly trusted for social media s…

Thanks again! I have another question: Does this work on YouTube and blogs too?

The short answer is no—you do not need this complex proxy and hardware setup for YouTube or blogs. TikTok uses a location-first algorithm, meaning it restricts content based on where your device physically sits. YouTube and Google (for blogs) use content-first algorithms. They care about what your …
