## 🎬 Free, and longer than ten seconds

@odirachukwu_onyejefu — Flow stops at 10 seconds because every model makes **shots**. A 60-second video is six shots joined. What you need is a free tier with enough shots per day, and one tool to join them.

## 🎥 What each free tier hands you

- **[Google AI Studio — Veo 3.1](https://aistudio.google.com)** — free with a Google account, clean frame, about **8 seconds** per shot, rate-limited per day
- **[Kling 3.0](https://klingai.com)** — daily credits, **10 seconds** , 1080p, the strongest motion of the free group
- **[Hailuo / MiniMax](https://www.hailuo.ai)** — daily credits, 10-second shots, strong at faces
- **[Adobe Firefly](https://firefly.adobe.com)** — a daily allotment that resets, licensed for **commercial use**
- **[PixVerse](https://app.pixverse.ai)** — about **60 credits a day** , roughly ten short clips

📌 **[All five measured side by side](https://www.promptspace.in/blog/ai-video-generators-compared-free-2026)** — daily videos, max length, resolution, speed.

> **Shots joined into one film, without touching a timeline**
>
> **[LTX Studio](https://ltx.io/studio)** takes a script, breaks it into storyboards, renders each shot and joins them. Free tier.
> **[LTX-2.5 and 2.3 are open weights](https://github.com/Lightricks/LTX-Video)**, free under $10M revenue, with multi-shot prompts and native audio.

> **Unlimited, commercial use allowed — Wan 2.2**
>
> **[Wan 2.2](https://github.com/Wan-Video/Wan2.2)** is Apache-2.0, commercial work included. 5-second shots, 1080p, and **TI2V-5B** runs on about **8 GB of VRAM**.
> No card? **[Kaggle gives ~30 GPU hours a week](https://www.kaggle.com/docs/efficient-gpu-usage)**, and **[Hugging Face Spaces](https://huggingface.co/spaces)** runs community Wan and LTX pipelines in the browser.

## 🧵 Stitching four shots into one film

```auto
1 one character sheet face, clothes, light, lens — same words every shot
2 fixed seed same seed = same look
3 end where the next begins last frame → first frame
4 ffmpeg concat no re-encode, no quality loss
```

Four shots at 8 seconds is 32 seconds. Six is a minute.

## 🎯 Writing the prompt is the whole skill

- **[VideoPrompt](https://videoprompts.tools/)** — platform, scene, camera move, lighting → the prompt in that generator’s own syntax. **21 platforms** , no sign-up
- **[Slate](https://github.com/wassermanproductions/slate)** — open-source prompt studio: plan shots, keep a character consistent across the whole piece, compile prompts per generator
- **[video-mcp](https://github.com/TerminalGravity/video-mcp)** — video, voice, music and sound effects in one call for agents

## 🔊 Sound

Real sounds from a library, imaginary sounds generated.

- **[Freesound](https://freesound.org/)** — 500,000+ recordings, free, filter by licence in one click
- **[Suno](https://suno.com)** — a full song with vocals from one line, free credits daily
- **[ElevenLabs](https://elevenlabs.io/pricing)** — free plan: **10,000 credits a month, about 250 seconds of sound effects** , plus voice-over
- **[Stable Audio](https://stableaudio.com)** — 50 free credits a month for score and ambience

**⬆ Upscale before joining** — **[Real-ESRGAN](https://github.com/xinntao/Real-ESRGAN)** free, or **DaVinci Resolve’s Super Scale** inside a free editor.

Great breakdown — I’ve been running this exact workflow for a couple of months now, and one thing I’d add: if consistency across shots matters to you, start with image-to-video rather than pure text-to-video. Generating a single character sheet or keyframe first (even with a free image model) and then animating each shot from it made my multi-shot clips look far more coherent than text prompts alone — Kling and Hailuo in particular hold faces much better when they have a reference image.

One more thing from experience: check the free-tier watermark policy before you spend credits rendering. A couple of these burn a watermark into the video with no way to remove it on the free plan, so if the clip is for anything public-facing, that matters more than the resolution on paper.

And on the prompt side — describing the camera move explicitly (‘slow dolly in from the left’, ‘locked-off tripod shot’) improved my results more than any other single change. The models default to drifting, floaty camera moves otherwise.

BlueHacker’s breakdown is spot on, especially the part about thinking in shots instead of one long video. I learned that the hard way — kept trying to get a single 30 second clip out of a free tier and wondering why it always fell apart halfway.

The one thing I’d add from my own messing around: the free tiers change their limits pretty often, so whatever you pick, do a quick test render first before you spend an afternoon on a big prompt. I burned a whole evening’s worth of daily credits on Kling once because I didn’t realize they’d tightened the per-day cap that week. Small test clips first, then commit to the real one.

For the prompt builder side, start with VideoPrompt (videoprompts.tools) – it turns a plain description into a platform-specific prompt with camera move, lighting and scene baked in, and it supports many generators so you are not locked to one. Once you have a structure you like, keep a simple template in a text file: subject + action + environment + camera move + lighting + style. Reusing the same subject and style lines across clips is what keeps characters and mood consistent, which is where most AI video attempts fall apart. For the generator itself, Kling 3.0 and Google AI Studio Veo have the most generous free tiers for testing right now; generate 5-10 second shots and stitch them together, since no free tier gives you a full minute in one go.
