# Complete beginner with $150-200 to invest HELP ME !  Which freelance skill should I learn first?

Hey onehackkkkk !!!

I want to get into freelancing and make money online, but I’m starting from zero — no portfolio, no clients, no specific skill yet. I have around $150-200 I’m willing to invest and I’m ready to put in the time to learn.

Some context so people don’t suggest stuff I’ve already tried:

- **Etsy isn’t available in my country** ☹
- **TikTok’s Creator/Beta Creator Program isn’t available where I live and you guessed right youtube don’t work too**
- I already tried **Gumroad** and making **coloring books on Amazon KDP** — didn’t make a single penny !
- I’ve seen plenty of “make money on YouTube” ideas that don’t actually pay out for beginners ( you know )
- you guys are the best community !!

“Which skill?” is the wrong first question — you don’t _guess_ it, you **read it off live demand data** , and the $150 buys **tools, not a course.** But do it in this order — skip Step 0 and you can learn a skill, land a client, then discover the money can’t reach you 👇

## 🧭 STEP 0 — can money even reach you? (do this FIRST)
