# 🔓 Duolingo’s $14/Month Paywall Solved by a 59KB Browser Extension _Install a browser extension. Open Duolingo. That’s it. Max features activate automatically._ > _Duolingo Max costs $14/month. This costs nothing. No VPN, no hacks, no tricks — just a browser extension that flips the switches._ **Unlimited hearts. No ads. Legendary levels unlocked. Personalized practice.** It works on a free account. Open source. Two clicks to install. * * * > **⚡ How It Works — Dumb-Proof Setup** > > Think of it as a translator between your browser and Duolingo’s website. When Duolingo checks if you’re a paying subscriber, the extension quietly says “yes” before the page loads. Duolingo shows you the premium features without actually charging anything. > > **Step 1 — Install the extension for your browser:** > > | Browser | Link | > | --- | --- | > | **Chrome** | [Duolingo Max Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/duolingo-max/jkcaeflmchplggcelmodjobeakgmhmdb) | > | **Firefox** | [Duolingo Unlimited Hearts](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/duolingo-unlimited-hearts/) | > > **Step 2 — Open [duolingo.com](https://www.duolingo.com) and log in.** > > **Step 3 — There is no step 3.** Max features are already active. Unlimited hearts, no ads, legendary levels, personalized practice — all unlocked. > > That’s literally it. No settings to configure, no codes to enter, no accounts to create. Install → open Duolingo → done. > **✅ Do's & 🚫 Don'ts** > > | ✅ Do | 🚫 Don’t | > | --- | --- | > | Use it on the **website** ([duolingo.com](http://duolingo.com) in your browser) | Don’t expect it to work on the **mobile app** — extensions don’t run there | > | Keep the extension updated — Duolingo changes their code sometimes | Don’t disable the extension and wonder why hearts came back | > | Use it on your **personal account** for learning | Don’t brag about it inside Duolingo forums/communities — obvious way to get it patched faster | > | Check the [GitHub source](https://github.com/apersongithub/Duolingo-Unlimited-Hearts) if you’re paranoid about what it does — it’s open source | Don’t install random copycat extensions claiming the same thing — stick to these verified links | > | Works on any free Duolingo account — no subscription needed | Don’t try to use it on someone else’s paid account to “stack” features — pointless, it already gives you everything | > **🔓 What You Get — Free vs. This** > > | Feature | Free Duolingo | With Extension | > | --- | --- | --- | > | **Hearts** | 5 per day — run out and you’re done | ♾ Unlimited | > | **Ads** | After every lesson | None | > | **Legendary levels** | Locked behind paywall | Unlocked | > | **Personalized practice** | Limited | Full access | > | **Price** | $0 | $0 | > | **Works on** | Web + app | Web only (browser extension) | * * * **⚡ Quick Hits** | Want | Do | | --- | --- | | 🦉 Unlimited hearts | → Install extension, open Duolingo, done | | 📱 Works on phone? | → Only in your phone’s browser (not the app) | | 🔒 Safe? | → Open source, 4.8★ on Chrome Web Store, 3K+ users | * * * _$14/month for hearts that don’t break. Or one extension and they never break again._ ---
