**Summary:**

* * *

1. **Mystery Solved**
A new study uncovers how gold nuggets form, linking them to electrical charges generated by quartz during earthquakes. This surprising discovery explains the presence of gold in quartz rock.

2. **Electric Quartz**
Quartz generates electricity when compressed or disturbed, which attracts gold particles from the Earth’s crust. These particles then crystallize into gold nuggets over time.

3. **Role of Earthquakes**
The study suggests that earthquakes, by shaking quartz veins, provide the necessary electrical stimulation to form gold nuggets. This idea challenges traditional geological theories but fits well with observed patterns.
