You should turn this into a cbox and perhaps make different lengthed subscriptions to cover the server cost. Users can input the url and it will provide the download link. Just an idea, but like if you agree.

can you make this open source so everyone can use it and pay for their own server usage hence keeping it running

It will be risky since it will “expose the code” and will need routine updates to keep it working.

I was inspired by the tool of another (completely online) website to download elements items, but it is locked to only the users of that forum. I wanted to make a tool where anyone can use it and doesn’t need to sign up into any kind of forum.

It’s still working. But a bit slower.
2300 files served so far.

Expense: 11.5 USD per month so far.
If I get more traffic, will have to add another worker.

That’s unfortunately your account getting banned. I guess they can detect some high traffic with the account maybe.
I think maybe you can limit the amount files that can download per day.
