**Summary:**

1. **3D Mapping Achievement**
The **Euclid mission** has unveiled the first section of its 3D map of the universe, showcasing **14 million galaxies** and tens of millions of stars with remarkable detail.

2. **Mission Background**
Launched in 2023 by the **European Space Agency** (ESA) with contributions from **NASA** , Euclid aims to explore the universe’s evolution and investigate dark energy and dark matter.

3. **Mosaic Data Released**
The newly released data comprises a **208-gigapixel mosaic** , covering just 1% of the planned final map, which will span a third of the sky over six years of observations.

4. **Galactic Features Identified**
The mosaic highlights regions of **galactic cirrus clouds** and features like the spiral galaxy **NGC 2188** and the galaxy cluster **Abell 3381**.

5. **Incredible Detail**
In zoomed-in views, distant swirling galaxies appear in extraordinary detail, emphasizing the mission’s capabilities and the potential insights into the cosmos.
