after log in to student portal with your umgc id/pass did you registered any class successfully? if not than email will not work…
Give it 6 hours atleast then login again.
I’m experiencing the same issue. We need to wait approximately 12 hours, as the administrative system hasn’t yet assigned an email license to our account. Maybe it will work later. Let me know if you succeed.

Bro it could be because of the application fee which one have to pay so I would suggest you check the school website on monthly basis to see if there is application fee waiver that will be the perfect time to apply inorder for you to avoid any inconveniences like this.
technically email should work after atleast 12 hours if it still does not login with outlook there must be some issue try again after few more hours or next day, if it still does not work than they most likely blocked the email access.

But it does login with outlook, and I tried sending myself an email, and I actually recieved it with the university’s account. But SheerID isn’t sending me any emails. Could sheerID be detecting an abnormal amount of requrests from UMGC for example? This is really annoying
