1. Press **Windows key** → open **Settings**
2. Go to **System → Activation**
3. Click **Change** next to _“Change product key”_
4. Paste the key → **Next → Activate**
5. You’ll see **“Windows is activated with a digital licence”** ✅

🚨 If The Key Fails Or Runs Dry — Backup Plan

MAK keys can burn out or get blocked. When that happens, use **MAS** — the open-source activator the whole scene trusts:

Right-click **Start** → open **PowerShell** → paste:

Menu appears → type **1** for **HWID** activation → wait for _“Product Activation Successful”_ ✅

Permanent, tied to your hardware, survives reinstalls. If PowerShell is blocked → grab [MAS\_AIO.cmd from GitHub](https://github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts) → run as admin.

🏠 On Windows Home And Need Pro First?

The MAK key needs Pro edition installed. Switch from Home → Pro in **Command Prompt (Admin)**:

Reboot. Then apply the MAK key above.

- Don’t stress if it fails — MAS activates in 40 seconds as backup
