**Summary:**

1. **End of an Iconic Magazine** : Game Informer, the longest-running gaming magazine in the U.S., is officially closing down. Established in 1991, the magazine has been a staple in the gaming community, known for its deep dives, exclusive interviews, and comprehensive coverage of major game releases.

2. **Sudden Closure** : Staff members were informed in a meeting with GameStop’s VP of HR that the publication would close immediately, and all employees were laid off. The abrupt shutdown leaves issue number 367, featuring a Dragon Age: The Veilguard cover story, as the magazine’s final publication.

3. **Legacy and Impact** : Over its 33-year run, Game Informer expanded beyond print to include a website, weekly podcast, and online video documentaries. The closure marks the end of an era for one of the last remaining physical gaming magazines in the world, known for its influence and contributions to gaming journalism.
