However, before you start dumping your library or personal files there, I did a deep dive into their **Terms of Service (ToS)** and **Privacy Policy**. If you care about anonymity and the longevity of your links, there are some major red flags you need to know. * * * ### 🔓 **1. No Zero-Knowledge Encryption (They Are Watching)** Unlike providers like Mega or Filen, FebBox **does not** encrypt files client-side. - **The Reality:** Their ToS explicitly states they _“access, store, and scan Your Stuff”_ for things like thumbnails and OCR. - **The Risk:** 👁 **They have the keys.** They can see exactly what files you are hosting. Febbox **ToS** says following : ## **Your Stuff & Your Permissions** When you use our Services, you provide us with things like your files, content, messages, contacts, and so on (“ **Your Stuff** ”). Your Stuff is yours. These Terms don’t give us any rights to Your Stuff except for the limited rights that enable us to offer the Services. We need your permission to do things like hosting Your Stuff, backing it up, and sharing it when you ask us to. Our Services also provide you with features like commenting, sharing, searching, image thumbnails, document previews, optical character recognition (OCR), easy sorting and organization, and personalization to help reduce busywork. Totally. My post wasn’t about demonizing one service over another, but rather a generic ‘heads-up’ to keep your eyes open. It’s all about situational awareness: knowing exactly **what** you’re uploading, **where** it’s going, and **how** to protect yourself while doing it. Better to be a bit paranoid now than sorry later. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows the playground rules (and the risks) before jumping in. There is no Windows application on their site. Was pulled down for some reason? Also, their Android app has a rating of 2.8 on the Play Store, with comments complaining about slow speeds and not being able to upload or download files after some time. Yeah, I think this is one of those cases of if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ---

Great find. Just tested it. You have 100 GB for fast upload and download each month. I did a test uploading and downloading about 8 GB of data with the web browser, not installing an app. Both were very fast. No file size limit, no ads. I see comments about Terabox. Terabox is not the same : file size limits 4 GB for uploads, and ads. ---

Thanks. Just checked. The 1 TB has vanished from my account and is now 10 GB. It’s no longer worth it. There are better alternatives.
