I used Temp mail, which allows me to choose the prefix of my address, however I learnt that the created email address would expire in days. So if there’s a way for us to know when Google begins the reverification process, we can easily renew/recreate our unique .edu mails to all us reverify. I wish Google would also send us a direct email to our actual email address, when they need us to reverify
*Short answer*: Photo of ID card that has the same address as your bank card/PayPal you used. Must be scanned by AI to verify its not been altered by AI. That’s my best guess solely because of the date of when they ask for it, feels like it would be the right time for VALID students to have an ID issued.(Then again, do the other countries get issued IDs at all, maybe just number?). The difficulty they would have getting the info of all students by law, would be public by now. Temp Edu accounts will be cleared first, real Edu accounts could hold up and stay active IF all details match between CC and ID cards.
Long answer and a lot of waffling lol 
I am really just guessing but if I were in their shoes, I would be sweeping all the temp accounts first. They are the easy to discover, so if you have made yours using a temp, you wont even get the chance to reverify in my opinion. Then, based on the places this is available (Japan, Brazil ,Indonesia, USA, UK) I would bet my left testicle that they don’t have the authority to ask the Universities in these countries to produce their student lists and share their identities and ID numbers. Would be possible if it was just in the US because they may have planned it, but Brazil , Indo, wouldn’t be so easy, UK wouldn’t allow it as it violates the rights of the students privacy. So , what they will do is ask for a photo of your student ID and that will be easy to fake, because so many Uni’s will have different styles, and we can guarantee they don’t know if your ID number is valid. (I didnt see any clause to say that I allowed them to share my info with anyone when i got my Edu from Santa Fe college) so at best they will ask for that, a photo of your ID card, and worst, they ask for a pic of you holding your ID card. (Which is still okay) If signing up from the UK , they will have no way of knowing what you look like. No access to UK government database for them i am sure. Even though they are huge, the law wouldnt allow the breach of data. So , i would say they will pretend they can check the IDs and maybe some people will believe them and drop their accounts, but they will have to accept all that look legit. With any luck its just a shot of the ID front face and not the image of you holding it. Because they could receive them and use AI to determine if they have been altered, which is highly likely. Sorry, very long winded answer..
Basically either ID number visible with pic (Im guessing the end of August is the start if the new term and students should all have IDs to validate, thats why they are choosing that date)
I might know someone 
who may have all the KYC images from Binance hack a while ago stored somewhere for events like this. . Lots of random people holding up their IDs there, they could be altered. But is there a program out that can clean it up to stop it being detected by AI? Worth looking at that.
Think of the sheer scale of it. Can’t spend too much time checking everyone, so its an automated process. Could be an automated call to verify your human, but they have kinda done that already by making us add a payment method, but they are focussed on you being at a college/uni its got to be the AI scanning images of your ID and then based on that being accepted and your payment being valid and the address on the card matches/ or PayPal address matches your ID , you get to have the other 11 months or so.

On every account i have from US, UK it always says end of August.
I would recommend using www.etempmail.com and then copy the recovery key from there. You can then close the tab and the temp can be resurrected when you need it for second verification. However, I highly doubt they will let the temp mails be used and i would suggest using an official Edu email account. Hi, I used a gmail account to sign up and this was before they started the whole payment details or card requirement. I used a US VPN. Was wondering if the verification process would be different for people like me who signed up in the month of May.
I think it will come down to the verification. Some Gmail just went through and didn’t need to verify, I think they are safe and will have a chance to verify. However, they will definitely block temp Edu mails. So i suggest getting a real one from somewhere in California. No-one knows what the next stage will be but just guessing.
