Because jQuery is still used in more than 60% of all websites worldwide? If it’s old it doesn’t mean it’s bad or anything like that, in fact it’s still a pretty strong framework. Some banks still use COBOL and that’s like a 1000000 year old programming language, so?
Honestly, I’d rather use jQuery instead of learning a new stupid JS framework every week. The minute I learned React there was Angular, and Vue and 2093489234809238409 others right out the door waiting for me to pick them up ugghhh. I hate this JS framework mania. X:(
