**Summary:**

1. **Multi-Model Approach**
GitHub Copilot is transitioning from solely using OpenAI’s GPT models to a multi-model framework, integrating **Claude 3.5 Sonnet** from Anthropic and **Gemini 1.5 Pro** from Google.

2. **Phased Rollout**
Claude 3.5 will be introduced to Copilot Chat’s web and **VS Code** interfaces in the coming weeks, followed by Gemini 1.5 Pro.

3. **Enhanced Model Variety**
The update will also bring support for additional OpenAI models, enabling developers to switch between different models to better suit specific tasks and languages.

4. **Focus on User Needs**
GitHub CEO **Thomas Dohmke** emphasized that a single model cannot fit every scenario, advocating for the flexibility of model choice to enhance user experience.

5. **New Features**
Upcoming features include handling multiple files in VS Code, code review enhancements, and the introduction of **“Spark,”** an app development tool for both coders and non-coders using natural language prompts.
