Google Account Privacy Settings Guide

**1. Sign in to your Google Account**

First, sign in to your Google Account through the browser. ([https://myaccount.google.com/](https://myaccount.google.com/))

**2. Personal Information**

Addresses: Remove all addresses.

What others see:

Basic Information:

1. Profile Picture:  
Remove profile picture:

Click on the three dots at the top right.

Previous Profile Pictures option \> Select a photo \> Click on three dots again \> Delete photo \> Confirm deletion.

1. Gender: Set to “Only You”.

2. Date of Birth: Set to “Only You” (enter incorrect information if possible).

About Me: Remove all information.

**3. Work & Study**

Delete all work and education related information.

**4. Data & Privacy**

Activity & History Settings

1. Web & App Activity:

Stop \> Pause.

Manage all web & app activity \> Delete past activity.

1. Location History:

Off \> Pause.

Auto-delete: Set to automatically delete activities older than 3 months.

1. YouTube History:

Off \> Pause.

Manage History \> Delete all past activities.

Personalized Ads

Go to My Ad Center and turn off personalized ads.

Personalized Search Results

Disable the option to show personal results.

Third-party apps with account access

Delete apps you no longer use.

**5. Account Security**

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

1. First, add a phone number to the account.

2. Two-Step Verification:

Start \> Continue \> Use another backup option.

Download backup codes \> Next \> Turn on.

1. Set up Authenticator ([https://t.me/wbnet/101285](https://t.me/wbnet/101285)):

Start \> Next \> Scan the barcode with your authenticator app.

Enter the 6-digit code and confirm it.

**6. Devices connected to your account**

Manage all devices: Remove devices you no longer use.

**7. Safe Browsing**

Turn off Advanced Safe Browsing.

**8. People and Sharing**

Location Sharing:

Turn off Manage Location Sharing (unless you want to share with someone).

Business Features:

Turn off Business Personalization.

Advertising Recommendations:

Turn off the “Google may show my name, profile photo, and activity in ads” option.

**9. Review and manage your data**

1. Go to your Google Dashboard ([https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard](https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard)) and check which services you use.

2. Go to Google Takeout ([https://takeout.google.com/?continue=https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard](https://takeout.google.com/?continue=https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard)) and download your data.

To reduce the file size, deselect the Drive and Gmail options.

1. Go to Google Activity ([https://myactivity.google.com/more-activity?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fmyactivity.google.com%2Fmyactivity](https://myactivity.google.com/more-activity?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fmyactivity.google.com%2Fmyactivity)) and delete or manage any activity you can.
