# How to Fix Windows 10 Taskbar Not Hiding in Full Screen like VLC Player and many more…

> Recently, a lot of users report the Windows 10 taskbar not hiding in full screen issue. If your taskbar also won’t auto-hide on your PC, no worries, here are two fixes for the taskbar not hiding in full screen mode in Windows 10.

## 1. Check the Taskbar Settings

- Step 1. Press **Windows key + I** altogether to open **Settings**

- Step 2. Click **Personalization** , and then **Taskbar**

- Step 3. There are two options that manage the auto-hiding functionality of the Windows 10 taskbar: “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode” and **“Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode”**

- Step 4. Enable **“Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode”** , and the Windows 10 taskbar will be hidden automatically.

## 2. Restart Windows Explorer to Fix Windows 10 Taskbar Not Hiding in Full Screen Issue

- Step 1. Use the keyboard shortcut `Ctrl-Shift-Esc` to open the **Windows Task Manager**.

- Step 2. If you see only the basic interface, click on **more details**.

- Step 3. Locate the **Windows Explorer** process under processes, and click on it with the left mouse button.

- Step 4. Click on the **restart** button to restart the process.

thanks sam i am facing this problem before by using this method i am able to solve it thanks for ur response n have a question that for 1st option it hides the hole taskbar even when it is minimized screen n second one is the best suitable method sam thanks u very much for ur work
