# How to get more Connects on upwork

I have been freelancing for a while now and wanted to hop on upwork. But, I have only 9 connects left and I can’t pitch to anyone at this point.  
Is there any way to get more connects for free ( except the one that upwork offers like displaying a badge in your profile and stuff).

Anything would help. Thank you.

## 🚨 Fix this before you spend another Connect

The reward above is listed as **2× per month**. Upwork’s own page says **twice per calendar year**.

Burning 54 Connects chasing a monthly rebate that fires **twice a year** is how a 9-Connect balance becomes zero.

You don’t need more Connects. You need to stop spending them on jobs that were never going to hire you.
