Updated the list! Added Superman (2025) to the Heroes section — James Gunn’s hopecore reboot: David Corenswet’s Superman gets dragged across the snow by his own super-dog Krypto, then proves that in a cynical world, plain kindness is the most punk-rock power there is. Sits right next to Man of Steel now. :sunny:

Updated the list! Added Obsession (2025) to the Thrillers section — a shy guy snaps a novelty “one wish” charm so his crush will finally love him back, and it works exactly as promised. Premiered at TIFF’s Midnight Madness and it earns that slot: sweet, cringey rom-com energy that slowly curdles into something genuinely nasty. :nazar_amulet:

Updated the list! Five new ones this time

  • Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012) — dropped in either side of The Dark Knight in the Action section, so the full Nolan trilogy finally sits together in order.
  • Limitless (2011) — Sci-Fi, parked right next to Lucy since they are two very different answers to the same “what if your brain ran at 100%” question.
  • Twisters (2024) — Adventure, next to The Day After Tomorrow. Loud, big-screen storm chasing.
  • Reacher (2022) — Action. Ritchson finally gets his own spot on the list instead of just a mention. :toothbrush:

:clapper_board: Just rebuilt the whole list — every pick now grouped by genre and ranked by IMDb, so it’s a 5-second browse instead of a wall of text; think I missed a classic or ranked one wrong? drop it below and I’ll watch it before the next update.

Updated the list! Every single movie now has a one-line “why watch it” note right under the title — not the plot, just the one idea that stuck with me after finishing it. Should make it way faster to pick something when you’re just scrolling and can’t decide.

Updated the list! Added the missing names from the X-Men saga — X-Men, X2, Origins: Wolverine, First Class, The Wolverine, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Dark Phoenix, and The New Mutants — each with a one-line “why you should watch it” straight from my own point of view, same as every other movie here now.

Updated the list! Filled out the rest of the Night at the Museum trilogy — Battle of the Smithsonian and Secret of the Tomb — both in the Heroes & Animation section. :classical_building:

Updated the list! Added The Gods Must Be Crazy II (1989) to the Adventure section, right next to the original — Xi’s back, and this time it’s rival soldiers who need his help surviving the desert. :desert:

Updated the list! Three fresh ones — The Last House (2026) in Thrillers, Unleashed (2005) in Fighting, and French Lover (2025) in Comedy. Each with my one-liner on why it’s worth your time.

76

Updated the list! Three new Thrillers — Awake (2021), The Whisper Man (2026), and Brick (2025) — each with my one-liner on the idea that stuck with me.

Updated the list! Five new Thrillers — Ma (2019), Fractured (2019), Hollow Man (2000), The Guilty (2021) and Bird Box: Barcelona (2023) — plus 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible (2021) under Documentary, each with my one-liner on what stuck with me. :clapper:
