My Telegram account is logged out and when i log in to it my sim was deactivated.i ask the help of ISP support center and they say my account is active but not recharge within too many days so they removed my number ownership and i ask them to how to get back?
they say we will tell you when the number available?
my problem is telegram wipe out all data within 1 year (i do not remember default time) if i login before their lease time over?
if i can not get the sim number within one year telegram wipe out my data associated with my account?
if there is a way that can get my account back?
(i can proof to telegram to my ownership)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or setup guidance!

> ✈ **Your account isn’t lost — Telegram’s real inactivity window is longer than most people think, and you have several genuine recovery paths since you can prove ownership.** 👇

## ⏱ First: the timeline you feared is wrong

| | |
| --- | --- |
| ❌ **What you feared** | 1 year (or less) → data wiped |
| ✅ **What’s actually true** | **18-month** default self-destruct (up from the old 6-month) |
| 🔧 **Adjustable** | 1–12 months — but _only_ if YOU set it manually |
| 🎯 **Your case** | you never touched it → you’re on the **18-month** clock |

🔑 **And the clock starts from your last LOGIN — not the day your SIM died.** Recall your last login date: _that’s_ your real deadline, and it’s further off than the SIM date suggests.

## 🛠 Recovery — ranked by speed

**1️⃣ 🟢 A still-logged-in device = instant fix**
↳ Old phone, tablet, **Telegram Desktop** , or **Telegram Web** still signed in? → **Settings → Edit Profile → Phone Number → change it** to a number you control. Solves everything — no SIM, no ISP wait.

**2️⃣ ✉ A pre-set login email**
↳ On the login screen tap **“Need help logging in?”** — if you’d set _Settings → Privacy & Security → Login Email_, the code goes to email instead of SMS. ⚠ _Only works if it was configured before you lost the SIM._

**3️⃣ 🆘 Telegram support** → [telegram.org/support](https://telegram.org/support)
↳ State plainly: the SIM was **deactivated by the carrier for non-recharge** (not abandoned) and you’re actively reclaiming it. Attach ownership proof:

> old chat screenshots · account creation date · linked email · Premium/Stars purchase history · mutual contacts · your user ID
> ↳ They **can’t** bypass the phone-number requirement — but a documented ticket filed **before** the deadline strengthens your case.

**4️⃣ ☎ Push your ISP for a firm date**
↳ “We’ll tell you when it’s available” is too vague. Demand: the **exact quarantine period** (often 60–90 days) · whether **paying the recharge/reconnection fee now** speeds reactivation · then **escalate** to a supervisor or a formal telecom-complaints channel.

## 📊 How it plays out

| 🎯 Scenario | 📶 Outcome |
| --- | --- |
| Number back **within 18 months** of last login | ✅ Full access restored via SMS code |
| A **different** new number before 18 months | ⚠ Won’t help directly — use email/session recovery |
| 18 months pass, no login, no number | ❌ Account + data permanently wiped |

## ✅ Do today

├─ 📱 Check **every old device** for an active session — this alone can fix it in minutes
├─ ✉ File a **Telegram support ticket** now with your proof (don’t wait on the ISP)
├─ ☎ Ask your ISP their **quarantine period** + the reactivation-by-payment option
├─ 🗓 Calculate your **real deadline** from your last login, not the SIM date
└─ 🔐 Once you’re back in, set a **login email** so this can never strand you again

18 months, not 1 year — and the clock runs from your last login, not your dead SIM.

![Telegram lives in your devices, not the SIM — a dead SIM doesn't kill the account](https://onehack.st/uploads/default/original/3X/9/e/9ec9223ef94e164c5afd45657c703d258e5534ba.jpeg)

Here’s the thing nobody tells you: **Telegram is cloud-based — your account isn’t welded to that SIM.** It lives as a **login session on every device you ever signed in on** , and the dead number can’t touch those. So the real question isn’t “get the number back” — it’s **“is any session still alive?”**

## ⚡ DO THIS FIRST (before you touch anything)

Physically open **every device you ever ran Telegram on** — old phone (even offline on Wi‑Fi), a tablet, any laptop with Telegram Desktop, and especially **[web.telegram.org](https://telegram.org/faq#q-my-phone-was-stolen-what-do-i-do)** in any browser where “keep me signed in” was left on (it survives _months_). If **one** is still logged in → that device **IS** your account.

> 🔑 Do **NOT** tap “Log out” on any old device — that kills the session server-side. And just _opening_ the app resets the delete-timer.

## 🟢 If ANY session is alive → you’ve already won (no SMS ever needed)

├─ 📲 **Link a new device with zero typing:** on the logged-in one → Settings → Devices → _Link Desktop Device_ → scan the QR at [desktop.telegram.org](http://desktop.telegram.org).
├─ 💬 A new login’s code arrives **in-app** in the blue-check **“Telegram” (777000)** chat on your old device — not by SMS.
├─ 🔁 Then **[Change Number](https://telegram.org/faq#q-how-do-i-change-my-phone-number)** onto a new SIM you control — _keeps everything, including Secret Chats._
└─ 🛟 **Export your whole account FIRST** (Telegram **Desktop** → Settings → Advanced → **[Export Telegram Data](https://core.telegram.org/import-export)**) in case a fragile session drops mid-rescue.

> **💻 No live app, but you have an OLD device / backup? Revive the session with NO code**
>
> ├─ 🗂 **Old PC:** copy the whole **`tdata`** folder (`%AppData%\Roaming\Telegram Desktop\tdata`, or `~/.local/share/TelegramDesktop/tdata`) into a fresh **[portable Telegram Desktop](https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop)** → launch → straight in, no phone. _(If you’d set a local passcode, tdata is encrypted — you’ll need it.)_
> ├─ ⚙ **Expert, codeless:** **[opentele](https://github.com/thedemons/opentele)** with the **`UseCurrentSession`** flag reuses the exact auth-key inside a `tdata`/`.session` → logs in with no code (the `CreateNewSession` flag would instead need the old session to QR-approve). Bridges `tdata ↔ Telethon ↔ Pyrogram`.
> ├─ 🤖 **Old Android:** the login is one file — `tgnet.dat` — **[AndroidTelePorter](https://pypi.org/project/AndroidTelePorter/)** turns it into a working session _(needs root / a full app-data backup)_. From an old bot `.session`? **[UCmod tdata-converter](https://github.com/UCmod/tdata-converter-offline)** (offline).
> └─ 🍏 **Old iPhone:** restore an **ENCRYPTED** iTunes/Finder backup (only encrypted carries the keychain that holds the auth-key) — Telegram wakes up logged in. Browse it first with **[OpenExtract](https://www.openextract.app/)**.

## ⏰ The clocks — the honest correction

├─ 🟩 Telegram deletes only after **18 MONTHS** of _no login_ ([their FAQ](https://telegram.org/faq)), not 1 year — and **any** login on **any** device resets it. So the Telegram clock is **NOT** your emergency.
└─ 🔴 Your **real** deadline is the **carrier’s** ~90-day quarantine before your number gets recycled to someone else. That’s the race.

## 📱 If NO session exists anywhere → reclaim the SAME number (the only real path)

├─ 💳 Reactivate it **within the quarantine window** by clearing dues — front-line reps say “it’s gone,” so **escalate to the nodal officer** and cite the reassignment window. India: the govt **[Sanchar Saathi](https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/)** reconnect flow. _(US → FCC ~45-day aging, UK → Ofcom — swap your regulator.)_
├─ 🔑 **Reactivate FIRST, then [port-out](https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/porting-keeping-your-phone-number-when-you-change-providers)** to a cheap MVNO — you _can’t_ port a dead number, and an MVNO won’t die from a missed recharge.
└─ ⚠ **The hard truth:** if the number’s already recycled **and** you never set 2FA + a recovery email, there is **no ID-based recovery** — “I can prove ownership” does **not** work; Telegram never does manual account returns for a lost number.

> **🔒 Once you're back in — make a dead SIM never able to strand you again**
>
> ├─ 📧 **2FA + a RECOVERY EMAIL** (Settings → Privacy & Security → Two-Step Verification) — this is the SIM-free reset lever ([recover.telegram.org](https://recover.telegram.org/) emails _you_, never a stranger).
> ├─ 🔑 Add a **Passkey** (Face ID / fingerprint login, no SMS).
> └─ 🆔 Endgame: bind a **[Fragment +888](https://fragment.com/numbers)** anonymous number — logs into Telegram with no physical SIM at all.

## 🚨 While you’re panicking, don’t get robbed

├─ Any “Telegram recovery” **bot / paid service** that asks you to forward your **login code** or **2FA password** _is the hijack_ — **777000 sends codes TO you; anyone asking FOR your code is the attacker.** Pay nobody. The only real support: **[telegram.org/support](https://telegram.org/support)** (@SpamBot only lifts bans, it can’t recover accounts).
└─ 🙅 Skip the folklore: **“Call me” voice-code and flash-call do NOT help a dead SIM** — they ring the number that no longer exists (and voice-code needs 2FA already on).

Your account isn’t behind the SIM — it’s behind a session. Find a live one and you keep everything; if there’s none, race the carrier’s clock, not Telegram’s.
