One week ago, I received an email from Microsoft stating that due to no development activities, my account will be terminated in the next 2 months. So it seems we need to do some kind of dev activities for which the account was provided freely. ---

Hello everyone, Iā€™ve been using these accounts for the past 3ā€“4 years. As of now, itā€™s no longer possible to create new accounts or recover data from deleted ones. Iā€™ve created and sold over 200 accounts ā€” and most of them are still working smoothly, except for the ones that were never used. If your account is currently active and you plan to use it long-term, I recommend following these steps to increase the chances of successful renewal: 1. Create multiple users, including 1ā€“2 Global Admins 2. Actively use the Global Admin account ā€” send and receive emails for at least a month 3. Engage with SharePoint ā€” carry out regular activities 4. Log in to [office.com](http://office.com) frequently 5. Keep an eye on your mailbox ā€” Microsoft will notify you if your subscription is being renewed or not. If you receive an email like ā€œNotice: Your Microsoft 365 Trial Developer Subscription and data were deleted on [date]ā€, you usually have around **30 days to back up your data** ā€” after that, it canā€™t be recovered. While these steps donā€™t offer a 100% guarantee, in my experience, they significantly improve your chances of renewing your account every 90 days. ---

Sadly i got hit with the ā€œthis subscription is inactive and will expire soonā€ message on my dashboard after 2 years. Sucks now i have to download everything and move it to another usb. Ive been using the different office programs like usual, but no luck this time though ---

I spoke with a Microsoft employee regarding this issue when I noticed that my license was disabled and eventually expired. Unfortunately, there are no alternative solutions available. The only option is to purchase a **1-month Microsoft Business Basic subscription** , which will give us extra time to download or transfer any necessary data. ---

Update: My old account was renewed for some reason. I am sure that my account was finished since this is the first time after 2 years, it when to 0 (zero) BUT for some reason it was renewed. My account got disabled by them and I lost 1 TB+ data from drive. So beware of using if anyone is still using this. ---
