**Summary:**

1. **New AI Feature**
Microsoft has added a feature called **Rewrite** to Notepad, enabling users to utilize AI for rephrasing sentences, adjusting tone, and modifying content length.

2. **How It Works**
Users can highlight text in Notepad, right-click, and select Rewrite, prompting a dialogue box that allows them to choose how they want their text changed, with options for longer or shorter versions.

3. **Multiple Options Provided**
The Rewrite feature will offer three rewritten versions of the selected text, which users can choose to replace their original work.

4. **Account Requirement**
To use this cloud-based service, users must sign in to their **Microsoft account** for authentication and authorization.

5. **Preview Availability**
The feature is currently available in preview for **Windows 11** users in the U.S., France, UK, Canada, Italy, and Germany, following the earlier introduction of spellcheck and autocorrect in Notepad.
