**Summary:**

1. **AI-Powered Updates**
Microsoft is enhancing Paint with new features—Generative Fill and Generative Erase—aimed at making it a more powerful tool for creatives, reducing reliance on advanced image editing software like Photoshop.

2. **Generative Erase Feature**
This tool allows users to effortlessly remove unwanted objects and background clutter from images. It functions similarly to the Magic Eraser on Google’s Pixel phones, enabling precise edits with a size-adjustable brush.

3. **Generative Fill Feature**
Users can now add new AI-generated elements to their images using text descriptions. This feature allows for precise placement of new assets, akin to the tool of the same name in Adobe Photoshop.

4. **Cocreator Integration**
These updates build on the Cocreator tool introduced earlier for Copilot Plus PCs, which generates images based on text prompts and reference sketches, enhancing creative possibilities.

5. **Improved Output Quality**
Microsoft reports that the underlying diffusion-based model has been updated for better quality and speed, with built-in moderation to prevent misuse of these new features.
