**Summary:**

1. **Historic Transmission** : NASA has transmitted Missy Elliott’s song “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” to Venus, marking the first time a hip-hop song has been beamed into deep space. This event aligns with both space exploration and Elliott’s futuristic themes in her music.

2. **Deep Space Network** : The song was sent via NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN), specifically using the 34-meter-wide Deep Space Station 13 antenna in California. This network tracks, sends commands, and receives data from spacecraft exploring beyond the Moon.

3. **Cultural and Scientific Milestone** : The transmission, which took nearly 14 minutes to reach Venus, underscores the collaboration between art and space science, highlighting Missy Elliott’s influence and NASA’s outreach efforts to inspire through music.
