# Need help to reset the phone

Recently my friends mobile was locked and he forgot the password  
The model is vivo y91c  
After getting into its reset menu through dialing power off button and volume up button when I try to reset it  
It still demands for password  
Is there any way to hard reset it  
Kindly guide me on this

How can he forget the password that he uses daily to unlock his phone. You have to enter the password twice as a confirmation…See i am very pessimistic fellow…Where i live, these tricks are asked by people who stole other people smartphones and resell them via factory reset. …And The Classic thing is “My friends mobile …” …

Ok, You can go to the phone’s service centre … they will perform a factory reset..And might be able to backup some data…

It’s account password,not unlock password,I’ve encounter same problem like him

I know a way which is through **EDL mode**. Also there are some bypass trick available using **Google Voice Assistant** on YouTube, you can try. Go to mobile shop, they will flash **stock ROM** through **EDL Point**. Your phone will be okay.
