# 🗒 The Notebook That Knows Which Tab You’re In

_Open it on a site → only that site’s notes appear. The URL is the folder._

`free` · `chrome-extension` · `productivity`

Most note apps make you sort, tag, and remember where you put things. Notewise just **binds the note to the URL** — and never asks you again.

_No folders. No drag-drop. Open it on [amazon.com](http://amazon.com) → only Amazon notes. Hop to [github.com](http://github.com) → only GitHub. The site is the filter._

> | 18 | **Gaming wikis** | Builds, loadouts, key bindings — stuck to the wiki page |
> | 19 | **Job boards** | Salary intel + interview notes per posting site |
> | 20 | **Your private dashboard** | Personal diary that only opens on your private URL |
>
> 💡 **The real flex:** every one of these notes auto-disappears the moment you leave that site. Zero clutter, zero “where did I put that note about…”

> **🎨 Highlight Color Cheat (5 colors, your call)**
>
> | Color | Suggested Use |
> | --- | --- |
> | 🟡 **Yellow** | Action — “do this next” |
> | 🟢 **Green** | Done / verified |
> | 🔵 **Blue** | Reference / spec / link |
> | 🩷 **Pink** | Warning / careful here |
> | 🟠 **Orange** | Idea / brainstorm scrap |
>
> ⚡ **Pro tip:** Pair highlight colors with the 6-color note labels for a two-layer system — labels = _the note’s category_, highlights = _what’s hot inside the note_.

I tried to give it a go on my Pixels browsers that have extension support since that’s where I would use it most but I didn’t have any luck running it after install. I suspect it needs a full Chromium Browser. Or I’m just dumb.
