It still works for me. I have it for 1 year now.
One week ago, I received an email from Microsoft stating that due to no development activities, my account will be terminated in the next 2 months. So it seems we need to do some kind of dev activities for which the account was provided freely.
any ways to recover my account. i have like 1TB of data stored there, need to recover that. can pay to use this service.
one drive not working anymore
Hello everyone,
I’ve been using these accounts for the past 3–4 years. As of now, it’s no longer possible to create new accounts or recover data from deleted ones.
I’ve created and sold over 200 accounts — and most of them are still working smoothly, except for the ones that were never used.
If your account is currently active and you plan to use it long-term, I recommend following these steps to increase the chances of successful renewal:
- Create multiple users, including 1–2 Global Admins
- Actively use the Global Admin account — send and receive emails for at least a month
- Engage with SharePoint — carry out regular activities
- Log in to office.com frequently
- Keep an eye on your mailbox — Microsoft will notify you if your subscription is being renewed or not. If you receive an email like “Notice: Your Microsoft 365 Trial Developer Subscription and data were deleted on [date]”, you usually have around 30 days to back up your data — after that, it can’t be recovered.
While these steps don’t offer a 100% guarantee, in my experience, they significantly improve your chances of renewing your account every 90 days.
Yes Brother, I am facing this issue now.

Some of my data is stuck on this drive… ![]()
Sadly i got hit with the “this subscription is inactive and will expire soon” message on my dashboard after 2 years. Sucks now i have to download everything and move it to another usb. Ive been using the different office programs like usual, but no luck this time though
ok, so I am not the only one
I got an error saying “You don’t current qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.” i was using my personal hotmail account.
Welcome, Jay Chaudhary
Thank you for joining. You don’t current qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.
What to do?
I spoke with a Microsoft employee regarding this issue when I noticed that my license was disabled and eventually expired. Unfortunately, there are no alternative solutions available. The only option is to purchase a 1-month Microsoft Business Basic subscription, which will give us extra time to download or transfer any necessary data.
Update: My old account was renewed for some reason. I am sure that my account was finished since this is the first time after 2 years, it when to 0 (zero) BUT for some reason it was renewed. If you will ask my how, I DO NOT KNOW.
Enjoy it ![]()
Same… That’s odd! All my licenses were renewed too.
My account got disabled by them and I lost 1 TB+ data from drive. So beware of using if anyone is still using this.
Yes, similar thing happened with my account too

this error
Surprisingly, mine got renewed for 90 days as well. Happy about that
