# Throwbin — Free Online Notepad with Password-Protected Sharing

> 🗺 **One-Line Flow:** Go to site → start typing → no signup → auto-saves → share with password protection

**Why this matters:** Most free notepads are either feature-limited garbage or require accounts. Throwbin gives you password-protected sharing, folders, themes, spell check, auto-save—all the stuff Notion/Evernote charge for—except it’s completely free and works instantly in browser. No login walls, no “upgrade to premium,” just a clean notepad that actually works.

> **What Makes It Actually Good**
>
> ✨ **Clean interface** — No ads, no clutter, just text
> 🎨 **Multiple themes** — Dark, Ocean, Forest, etc. (easy on eyes)
> 📝 **Auto-save** — Never lose work, saves as you type
> 🔒 **Password-protected sharing** — Share notes securely (rare for free tools)
> 📁 **Folders & workspaces** — Organize multiple notes
> ✍ **Customizable** — Font size, style, line spacing adjustable
> 📊 **Word count & spell check** — Built-in writing tools
> ⚡ **No signup** — Open site, start typing immediately
> 💾 **Lightweight** — Loads instantly, works on any device
>
> **Use cases:**
>
> - Quick notes without opening apps
> - Code snippets you want to share
> - Secure text sharing (password protection)
> - Distraction-free writing
> - Temporary clipboard between devices
>
> **Better than:** Google Docs (too heavy), Pastebin (no password protection), Notepad++ (desktop only)

**Bottom line:** Free browser notepad with password-protected sharing, auto-save, folders, themes. No signup, no premium upsells, just works. Perfect for quick notes, secure sharing, or lightweight writing.
