Motherboard reported the bot was also offering “bulk” pricing, [selling 10,000 phone numbers for $5,000](https://www.vice.com/en/article/xgz7bd/facebook-phone-numbers-bot-telegram)._ Telegram told the _New York Post_ that they’d [blocked the bot Tuesday morning](https://nypost.com/2021/01/26/facebook-users-phone-numbers-being-sold-on-telegram-report/), while Facebook downplayed the incident, reminding the _Post_ “This is old data.” But the _Post_ notes that Facebook already had more than 1.6 billion daily active users in September 2019, and security researcher Alon Gal posted [a count of the millions of affected users in each country](https://mobile.twitter.com/UnderTheBreach/status/1349674272227266563), finding 32,315,282 in America, 11,522,328 in the United Kingdom, 7,320,478 in Australia, and 3,494,385 in Canada. _But the Verge points out the most ominous message of the breach: that "“the data is still out there on the web” — and that it’s already resurfaced, more than once, in the days since it was initially scraped._ ---

And who believes there are just phone numbers? Everyone should change their passwords very quickly, just in case! (at least I will) 😠 ---

that’s a must, but these morons will still sell our data by giving lame excuses like “data breach has happened”. I get it , in this internet world cyber crimes are increasing , but one should also bolster it’s security infrastructure too , I mean facebbok data gets leaked so often and they still say “sorry” in front of senator. ---

Always use two-factor security, and login Approval, trust me on this, whoever the heck wanted to or whatever method he/she does, you ain’t let them access your account. that’s all 👍 BTW, something you change while something wrong going on behind the scene, how could you believe they still can’t scratch your newly typed password? password changing not enough solution, So if you do, chose login approval option this time and rest forever!
