ur using the old version of ublock origin update it..i m using the updated version 1.26.2 and i hv no issues using it

I have a scriptlet that runs everytime a page on 1H is loaded and cleans up all ads and videos without needing adBlock or anything like that. Try writing one in your own browser console, its actually very simple but I dont have it with me right now, it’s in my laptop.
It goes from this
to something like this (added the Dark Reader extension for better reading too):
Try a scriptlet like:
$(’ .adsbygoogle, .img_ad, .google-adsense, .at-share-btn ’ ).remove();
$(“[class^=‘brid’]”).hide(); //this should take care of the annnoying video
It is not my intention to screw up 1H’s possible revenues from the ads, but personally I never click them or even read them (on any/all sites), and like others I also find them very annoying when reading, so I’m not using adBlock as per the forum’s rules and at the same time I’m improving my user experience by cleaning up the garbage.

First of all when surfing onehack on desktop then use ublock origin. If on Android install Firefox for Android and install addon ublock origin. This is what I do to avoid all ads and video ads. If non of this works then may be I can make a chrome extension (may be ).

Yeah, the script should be something like written above, but like I said it’s in my laptop and I don’t have it with me atm. I suck at JavaScript so I can’t really recall the exact syntax, but it took me like 10 minutes with the help of Google, try it out.
And no, the dark background/theme comes from the “Dark Reader” extension for Firefox/Chrome.
Oh and also, the idea is to NOT use any adBlock software in order to comply with 1H’s rules, that’s why I’m using a custom script instead of an adblocker. That way I’m getting rid of the visual garbage without breaking any rules.

I am fine with Ads. Whatever helps onehack admins. This site helped me a lot and if this is a way to give back then I’ll give it back to our admins.
