Some of these will die over time — if you hit a dead one, reply below and it gets replaced. And if you know a good one that isn’t here, drop it in a reply and I’ll add it.

> **🎬 MOVIES & TV — 37 sites**

> **Ordered best first.** The top of this list has the biggest catalogue and the fastest downloads; the bottom needs the least setup.
>
> * * *
>
> ### 1️⃣ Bot downloads — the biggest English film and TV catalogue there is
>
> **Over 800,000 files.** No seeders, no queue, no ads, no account. Full line speed, and it resumes if your connection drops.
>
> **👉 You never need to know a channel name. Just search one of these sites:**
>
> | Search here | What it covers |
> | --- | --- |
> | **[XDCC Search](https://xdcc-search.com/)** | searches 7 networks at once and prints the exact line to copy. ⚠ Search — don’t browse the front page, it is unfiltered |
> | **[xdcc.eu](https://www.xdcc.eu/)** | ~90,000 movies and ~243,000 TV episodes. Drops any bot offline more than 5 days, so results are alive |
> | **[SkullXDCC](https://skullxdcc.com/)** | second opinion when the first two come up empty |
> | **[xdcc.info](https://xdcc.info/)** | 711,000 files across 617 bots |
> | **[xdcc.rocks](https://www.xdcc.rocks)** | smaller, but it searches **anime** alongside films and TV — worth a try when the others miss |
>
> Type the film name → the result hands you four things: **network · channel · bot · pack number**. That is everything you need.
>
> > **❓ What even is this? Read this once and you'll get it**
> >
> > **Forget everything you know about websites for a second.**
> >
> > 🚪 **This isn’t a website — it’s a room.** IRC is chat rooms, and standing in those rooms are **bots** : little vending machines stuffed with files. That’s why there’s no download button anywhere. You’re not browsing a site — you’re walking into a room and asking a machine for item number 47.
> >
> > 🧍 **You have to actually be _in_ the room.** Ask the machine for something while you’re standing outside and nothing happens — it can’t see you. That single thing trips up every beginner alive.
> >
> > 🎟 **One line, one file.** You type one short line, the machine hands the file straight to you. No website in the middle, no seeders, no ads, nothing throttling you. That’s the entire reason it’s the fastest thing on this page.
> >
> > **That’s it. That’s the whole concept.** Everything else is just typing, and you don’t have to memorise any of it.
> >
> > * * *
> >
> > **📥 Step one — get the one app that lets you into the rooms:**
> > **[ZoiteChat](https://zoitechat.org/)** — free, Windows / Mac / Linux, file transfers already built in. (It’s the maintained continuation of HexChat, which stopped in 2024.) Install it and don’t touch any settings.
> >
> > **📥 Step two — find your film** on [XDCC Search](https://xdcc-search.com/) or [xdcc.eu](https://www.xdcc.eu/). It hands you a short result line.
> >
> > **📥 Step three — let ChatGPT do the rest.** Copy that whole result line, paste it into ChatGPT, and ask:
> >
> > > _“I have ZoiteChat installed. Walk me through downloading this, step by step.”_
> >
> > That is genuinely the fastest way in. It knows this cold, it will give you the exact commands for **your** result rather than a generic guide, and when something odd happens you paste the error back and it tells you what to do. The first ten minutes are the only hard part — after that it stops feeling like homework and becomes the most fun way to download anything.
> >
> > 🎥 **Prefer to watch a human do it first?** [gotbletu](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tEgck_LaBc) does it start to finish · [The Load Guru](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_cOKMQcyVE) goes slower · [Prid13’s guide](https://prid13.github.io/IRC-Guide/) has screenshots for every step.
> >
> > ⚡ **Want to skip the app entirely?** **[xdcc-cli](https://github.com/ostafen/xdcc-cli)** takes the same line and just downloads it, like any normal download — no chat, no rooms. **[XDCC Catcher](https://xdcccatcher.net/)** (Windows, free) does the whole thing for you like a torrent client.
> >
> > 🛠 **More XDCC bits:** terminal instead of a GUI → [WeeChat](https://weechat.org) + its `xfer` plugin · script it from Node → [xdccJS](https://github.com/JiPaix/xdccJS) · auto-grab new episodes → [Prid13’s auto-download guide](https://github.com/Prid13/IRC-Guide/blob/master/Auto%20Downloading.md) · two more plain how-tos → [xdcc.info’s own](https://xdcc.info/xdcc) and [xdcc-search’s](https://xdcc-search.com/how-to-use-xdcc).
>
> 🛠 **Grabbing a whole season at once:** [EasyXdcc](https://github.com/Ultrabenosaurus/EasyXdcc) queues a run of files in one command · [XDCC Search and Viewer](https://sourceforge.net/projects/xdccv/) builds your own private search database from the rooms you sit in.

>
> * * *
>
> ### 4️⃣ Telegram — works on the phone, nothing to install
>
> - **[@NoCopyRightMovies](https://t.me/s/NoCopyRightMovies)** — an English film channel that publishes its own split-and-rejoin instructions instead of a shortener link, and posts a notice when a title goes.
> - **[Surf-TG](https://github.com/weebzone/Surf-TG)** — puts a normal-looking website with search in front of a Telegram film channel.
> - **[Telegram-Stremio](https://github.com/weebzone/Telegram-Stremio)** — forward a film into a channel and it shows up in Stremio with a poster.
> - **[MediaFusion](https://mediafusion.elfhosted.com/app)** — a Stremio addon where Telegram sits alongside debrid and Usenet. Free public instance is rate-limited.
> - **[Jackgram](https://github.com/Sam-Max/Jackgram)** — gives a channel a proper streaming API. 8 stars, so you are the maintainer now.
> - ⚠ **[@SearchMoviesBot](https://t.me/SearchMoviesBot)** asks you to hand it a bot token — which, with group privacy off, gives the operator every message in that group. Know that before you use it.
>
> * * *
>
> ### 5️⃣ Free and completely above board — zero setup, zero risk
>
> Smaller and older than the rails above, but you click play and it plays.
>
> - **[NFB.ca](https://www.nfb.ca/)** — 💎 **7,000+ films free** , twelve Oscars in the collection, no account and no ads, from Canada’s national film board. About half the catalogue is English.
> - **[Kanopy](https://www.kanopy.com/)** — thousands of arthouse, classic and documentary films, ad-free, on a **library card you probably already qualify for**.
> - **[FIAF Collections Online](https://www.fiafnet.org/pages/E-Resources/Film-AV-Collections-Online.html)** — the film archivists’ own index of which national archives stream free, with a written rule banning anything paywalled. 21 English-language institutions, including the BFI and the Library of Congress.
> - **[Free Official YouTube Content](https://github.com/SuperAB123/Free-Official-Youtube-Content)** — rights-holders’ own channels posting full films, honestly labelled where an entry is only clips.
>
> * * *
>
> 💬 **Need subtitles?** [OpenSubtitles](https://www.opensubtitles.org/) is the one everybody uses — search by film or by the release filename for a perfect match, and most players (VLC, Jellyfin, Kodi) can pull from it automatically once you add a free account.
>
> 🛠 **Two extras:** [acestream-scraper](https://github.com/Pipepito/acestream-scraper) checks which AceStream IDs are alive and serves the survivors as one playlist · [AIOStreams](https://github.com/Viren070/AIOStreams) queries all your Stremio addons at once so you enter your debrid keys just once.

> > **🪄 Tricks for this drawer**
> >
> > **🧲 Search torrents that all still have a live seeder.** Paste straight in your address bar:
> > `torrents-csv.com/service/search?q=YOUR+SEARCH` — that database deletes anything with zero seeders.
> >
> > **👀 Read any Telegram channel with no account, no app.** Drop `/s/` into the link:
> > `t.me/s/repack` → the whole feed opens in your browser.
> >
> > **📥 Take a whole open folder before it moves.** One line copies the lot to your disk:
> > `wget -r -np -nH -c -R "index.html*" -w 1 https://site.tld/folder/`

> **📺 LIVE TV — 8 playlist and guide sources**
>
> > **❓ How to actually watch it — three steps**
> >
> > 1. **Install a player that speaks playlists.** [VLC](https://www.videolan.org/vlc/) is the simplest (it is free and you may already have it). For a proper TV grid with a guide, use [Jellyfin](https://jellyfin.org/) or Kodi.
> > 2. **Copy a playlist link** (an address ending in `.m3u` or `.m3u8`) from the table below.
> > 3. **In VLC:** Media → _Open Network Stream_ → paste → Play. In Jellyfin or Kodi, paste it into the Live TV settings, and paste an **[epgshare01](https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/)** guide link next to it so you get a programme listing.
> >
> > **💬 Stuck?** Paste the error and the name of your player into ChatGPT and ask what to do — this is a five-minute problem, not a hard one.
>
> ⭐ [epgshare01](https://epgshare01.online/epgshare01/) — the free programme-guide rail.
>
> | Where | What it gives you |
> | --- | --- |
> | [app-m3u-generator](https://github.com/BuddyChewChew/app-m3u-generator) | the easiest start — a bot rebuilds ready-made playlists **daily at 03:00 UTC** for the big free-TV services. Copy the link, paste in your player, done |
> | [Free-TV/IPTV](https://github.com/Free-TV/IPTV) | a deliberately small **hand-checked** worldwide playlist that bans padding, adult and religious channels — with named English lists for the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia |
> | [FastChannels](https://github.com/kineticman/FastChannels) | one Docker container folding **~24 free ad-supported TV services** into a single playlist plus guide, with an audit pass that disables dead and DRM channels for you |
> | [Dispatcharr](https://github.com/Dispatcharr/Dispatcharr) | makes any playlist look like a real tuner to Plex, Emby or Jellyfin, so your server can schedule and **record** — with automatic failover when a stream dies |
> | [iPlayarr](https://github.com/Nikorag/iplayarr) | 🇬🇧 turns BBC iPlayer into a searchable indexer inside Sonarr, so British series arrive from the broadcaster’s own CDN |

> **🍥 ANIME & MANGA — 21 sites and tools**
>
> ⭐ [ameNZB](https://amenzb.moe/) — a community-run **Usenet** indexer for anime, handing you NZBs for the current airing season.
>
> **⚡ Straight off a bot or a folder — no seeders, no queue**
>
> | Where | What it does |
> | --- | --- |
> | [NIBL](https://nibl.co.uk/) | the anime-only XDCC index. Browse **by bot** instead of by search string, and hit _Copy Batch_ to get one `/msg <bot> xdcc batch 1-12` line that pulls a whole season — one command, not one per episode. New to XDCC? The ❓ drawer at the top of this post explains it in three lines |
> | [Kayoanime](https://kayoanime.com/) | whole franchises as Google Drive folders — join the Group, then the Drive opens |
> | [Anime Tosho](https://animetosho.xyz/) | one release, three ways to grab it: torrent, direct download **or** NZB, with subtitles auto-extracted |
>
> **🧲 The boards where raws land first**
>
> | Where | The loot |
> | --- | --- |
> | [nekoBT](https://nekobt.to/) | the anime index that isn’t Nyaa — every release tagged with a **quality tier** (official WEB-DL / lightly modified / full fansub) as a filterable field, so you pick a tier instead of guessing from a filename |
> | [AniRena](https://www.anirena.com/) | 22,003 torrents on its own announce URLs, with a documented JSON API |
> | [Tokyo Toshokan](https://www.tokyotosho.info/?cat=1) | the oldest surviving Japanese-media library — where classics and raw TS captures live on after modern indexes drop them |
>
> **📡 Make it arrive on its own**
>
> - **[Mikan Project](https://mikanani.me/)** — subscribe to a show _and_ a specific fansub group, and it hands you one RSS URL your torrent client turns into a hands-off pipeline.
> - **[AutoBangumi](https://www.autobangumi.org/)** — point it at that one Mikan feed and it never needs you again: downloads, matches metadata, renames and files everything so Plex or Jellyfin scrapes it clean.
>
> 💡 **[SeaDex](https://releases.moe/)** is not a download site — it is the **answer key**. For each anime it names the single best release and one alternative, by group, so you stop downloading the wrong 12 GB.

>
> **🛠 The tools that keep it working when a source dies**
>
> - **[amrkmn/x](https://github.com/amrkmn/x)** — 💎 syncs five upstream extension stores into one searchable index, so the reader apps keep finding sources after individual ones fall over.
> - **[Suwayomi-Server](https://github.com/Suwayomi/Suwayomi-Server)** — runs the same phone-app extensions on a PC or NAS with no phone involved: browse, auto-download and archive over a web UI.
> - **[FMD2](https://github.com/dazedcat19/FMD2)** — its site support lives in separate Lua modules, so a broken site is fixed by an in-app module update. That is why a March-2025 binary still works.
> - **[Webtoon-Downloader](https://github.com/Zehina/Webtoon-Downloader)** — pulls free chapters straight from the publisher into CBZ/PDF instead of via a mirror.
> - **[LNReader plugins](https://github.com/LNReader/lnreader-plugins)** · **[lightnovel-crawler](https://github.com/lncrawl/lightnovel-crawler)** — light novels: when a novel site dies the app pulls a new plugin instead of dying with it, and the crawler turns any of hundreds of reader sites into one EPUB.
>
> **⭐ The two everybody actually uses**
> [MangaDex](https://mangadex.org/) is the biggest English scanlation library there is — reader and downloader in one, no ads, and it is the source most reader apps point at by default · [SubsPlease](https://subsplease.org/) is the English fansub group that subs nearly every currently-airing show, publishing torrents, direct links and its own bots from one page.

> **📚 BOOKS & PAPERS — 16 libraries**
>
> **🚦 Before you go anywhere:** [open-slum.org](https://open-slum.org/) pings every big shadow library **every 5 minutes** and shows UP / DOWN — plus which look-alike domains are fakes. Check here first, then knock.
>
> | Door | What’s inside |
> | --- | --- |
> | [freeread.org/torrents](https://freeread.org/torrents/) | the fixtures the library is _made of_: 2.4M books in 2,400 torrents of 1,000 each, 80M articles in 800+ torrents — every book named for its hash |
> | [tomesole](https://github.com/ChrisThoma/tomesole) | one Rust binary, TUI or scriptable, built around the two problems that actually bite: finding a mirror that is up **right now** , and collapsing forty near-identical editions to one |
> | [libgen-mcp](https://github.com/jmrplens/libgen-mcp) | a single static binary that federates one query across the big library **plus** arXiv, Crossref, OpenLibrary, Gutenberg, PubMed — and auto-discovers mirrors so you stop hunting for a new domain |
> | [Nexus / STC](https://libstc.cc/) | index _and_ corpus both live on IPFS; the search runs as a WASM module **inside your own browser** , so nothing is sent to a server |
> | [Liber3](https://liber3.eth.limo/) | an ebook search with no server and no DNS name — the front end is served through ENS over IPFS, each hit is a content hash |
> | [Memory of the World](https://library.memoryoftheworld.org/) | not one library — a **network of individual people’s** catalogues federated into one index. Pick a librarian, browse their personal shelf |
> | [Monoskop Log](https://monoskop.org/Monoskop_Log) | hand-curated arts, media theory and avant-garde texts as plain PDFs with real bibliographies — material the big libraries largely do not have |
> | [Sci-Net](https://sci-net.xyz/) | Sci-Hub stopped ingesting after 2022; this is the answer — post a DOI with a bounty, someone with access uploads it, usually in minutes, and it stays free for everyone afterwards |
> | [OpenBooks](https://github.com/evan-buss/openbooks) | drives the oldest and least-indexed book rail there is — the IRC search bots — from a normal browser tab |
> | #bookz on Undernet | the big-file sibling channel, whose own rules allow **ebooks, comics and audiobooks**. Trigger `@search`, paste the result line |
>
> **🌍 The shelves in other languages**

> | [@inPDF](https://t.me/s/inPDF) | 🌍 | English magazines straight into Telegram, hashtagged by title so the whole back catalogue is searchable in-app |
>
> ⭐ [#ebooks and #bookz on IRC Highway](https://shadowlibraries.github.io/IRCChannels/) — two channels where a search bot tells you which other users’ bots hold your book, and the file comes straight over DCC.
>
> 📚 **The two names everyone means:** [Library Genesis+](https://libgen.gs/) — that page lists its own alternative domains, which is the point: when one dies you read the next off the same page · [Standard Ebooks](https://standardebooks.org/) takes public-domain texts and re-typesets and proofreads them properly, so you get a real book instead of a scanned mess. Free, open, no account.

> **🦸 COMICS — 12 sources**

>
> **📡 The two rails nobody points at comics**
>

> - 🤖 **An XDCC bot that only does books and comics.** `[MG]-EBOOK` on #moviegods — its packlist is a straight run of Marvel / DC / Image / IDW collections. Message it a pack number, it hands you a `.tar`.

>
> **⚙ The one setting that unlocks it**
> Audiobooks do not live under Books (7000) on Newznab/Torznab — they sit in the **Audio** tree at **3030** (3130 for German). That single number is why book searches through Prowlarr come back empty or full of comics. [Details and category map](https://github.com/vavallee/bindery). Then read the groups free through [Binsearch](https://www.binsearch.info/) — `alt.binaries.audiobooks`, `alt.binaries.mp3.abooks` and friends carry full-series m4b packs with repair files, no account needed to look.

>
> - 🇬🇧 **[Listening Books](https://www.listening-books.org.uk/)** — a UK charity lending 11,000+ audiobooks to anyone whose illness, disability or learning difficulty makes print hard. £25 a year, **free if you cannot afford the fee**.
> - 🌎 **[ReciproCard](https://reciprocard.com/unlock-libby/non-resident-cards)** — a maintained table of the five still-open paid non-resident library cards with their real catalogue sizes (Monroe County NY $25/yr for 65,523 titles; Queens $50 for 193,128), three of which take applicants from abroad.

> - **[Listenarr](https://github.com/listenarrs/listenarr)** — the audiobook-only \*arr, currently wiring in Soulseek as an indexer, which is the real tell: the m4b files sit in **user shares** , not on trackers. Pair with the `mfif:` trick at the top of this post.
>
> ⭐ **[AudioBook Bay](https://audiobookbay.lu/)** — the big English audiobook board, and the obvious first stop: every post states language, format, bitrate and size up front, with new titles landing daily.
>
> > **🪄 Tricks for this drawer**
> >
> > **🎧 Turn Soulseek into a whole-album and whole-audiobook finder.** Add two words to the search:
> > `Sanderson mfif:8 mfs:10 -sample` — `mfif:8` shows only folders holding **8 or more** matching files, `mfs:10` drops anything under 10 MB. Complete books instead of stray tracks. [The full filter grammar](https://www.slsknet.org/news/node/267)

> **🎓 PAID COURSES — 22 vaults**
>
> **Speed lives in the rail, not the website.** A pretty course site on a free filehost makes you wait 60 seconds and caps you at 200 KB/s. A scruffy IRC bot hands you the same 19 GB course at line speed. So this list runs fastest-rail-first. ⚡
>
> **⚡ Straight off a bot — no seeders, no queue** _(new to this? the ❓ drawer up top explains it in 3 lines)_
> The fastest rail on the internet and almost nobody uses it for courses. One direct socket from the bot to you.

> | Route | What you actually get |
> | --- | --- |
> | [JetBrains EAP](https://www.jetbrains.com/resources/eap/) | pre-release builds of ~21 products with the **full paid feature set** , straight off JetBrains’ CDN, no subscription. Each build runs 30 days from its release date — and a new one always lands |
> | [JetBrains for open source](https://www.jetbrains.com/community/opensource/) | a real All Products Pack, free and annually renewable, for a core contributor to a non-commercial OSI-licensed project. The qualifying act is a form; the bar is visible commits |

> | [IDE Eval Reset](https://github.com/huang521/idea-eval-reset) | not a crack and not a keygen: add a plugin repository, install one plugin, and the IDE’s own evaluation clock restarts. The IDE’s plugin manager does the fetching, so there is no download page to take down |
> | [Open VSX](https://open-vsx.org/) | the vendor-neutral extension registry VSCodium, Theia and Cursor pull from — ~15,900 extensions as plain `.vsix` |
> | [VSIX Downloader](https://github.com/CypherpunkSamurai/vsix-downloader-webui) | Microsoft hid the Marketplace’s download button; this rebuilds the official URL so the file streams off **Microsoft’s own servers** — and ships a one-line uBlock rule that puts the real button back |

> **📰 USENET — 13 indexers and tools**
>
> > **❓ How Usenet works — you need three separate things, and that trips everyone up**
> >
> > Unlike torrents, Usenet is not one app. It is **three parts** , and people give up because nobody tells them that:
> >
> > 1. **A provider** — the company that actually stores the files. This is the part that costs money (a few dollars a month, and block accounts let you pay once for a chunk of data instead of monthly). ⚠ Check the [provider map](https://www.big-8.org/wiki/Paid_Usenet_Providers) first: many famous brands are **the same server** wearing different names, so a second account there buys you nothing.
> > 2. **An indexer** — the search engine that tells you what exists and hands you a small `.nzb` file (think of it as a torrent file). Several are **free** — see the table below.
> > 3. **A downloader** — the app that takes the `.nzb`, fetches the pieces from your provider and reassembles them. [SABnzbd](https://sabnzbd.org/) is the usual choice, free and open source.
> >
> > **So the flow is:** search on the indexer → download the small `.nzb` → open it in SABnzbd → it downloads the real file from your provider.
> >
> > **💬 Stuck?** Paste the exact error into ChatGPT along with which of the three parts you were setting up. Nearly every Usenet problem is one of: wrong provider port, indexer API key in the wrong box, or an old release nobody stores any more.

🔄 This list will keep improving and growing; for now it’s a work in progress, and any dead resource will be automatically replaced with a better one within 24–72 hours.

@Edgar [xdcc.rocks](https://www.xdcc.rocks) added ✅ — the only one of your six we were missing, and it searches **anime** too. The other four were already in (dedigger sits under 🎓 **PAID COURSES** ).

**And you were right about [rutor](https://www.rutor.is/) — my mistake, it’s back in.** I’d judged it by its front page. Its Remux releases carry the **English original DTS-HD MA track plus English subtitles** next to the Russian dub. Checked Kinozal after that and it does the same, so that’s restored too. Good catch 🙌

@kakaballi Not invite-only 👍 — [althub.co.za/register](https://althub.co.za/register) is a plain form, no invite code. My fault for linking the homepage; the post points straight at it now. If it’s ever shut, [NZB Sources](https://hampelmen.github.io/nzb-sources/) has a **Free only** filter. 🏴‍☠️

🔄 **Sorted.** Every category is its own drawer now, ranked, with the tricks and how-tos tucked into the drawer they actually belong to.

📌 **Tomorrow:** a fresh drop from the **whole team’s bookmarks** — the stuff we use every day and never got round to posting. It’s going to be awesome. Stay tuned 🏴‍☠️

Lists full of sites, sources, and tools under various categories, but they need a guiding wiki because most of them—especially the ones with general content that includes everything—are random and automated, requiring explanations to help people avoid viruses. However there is a great resource, containing courses, books, and more about cybersecurity and hacking for free. It’s like an index [elhacker.info](https://elhacker.info). I recommend relying on it because it’s very good, and I found it better than any torrent tracker or direct download sites, specifically for hacking and cybersecurity resources.
I hope to share more if I can, for the purpose of benefiting, helping, and for educational purposes.
