Is there any cheap solution to stream from Site A to Site B to a WebOS television? Mini PCs are still expensive. My cameras are Hikvision which apparently do not have a TV version so that’s why I was a little sceptical about androidOS TV box. Any solutions to this? I know I can side load but I want to be sure about it before spending 50$+. Any suggestions, please let me know.

**📺 Hey Stick\_Chick — your Hikvision cams CAN hit that WebOS TV. Cheap. No mini-PC.**
═══════════════════════════════

🧠 The TV is just a screen. It doesn’t need a Hikvision app — it needs a tiny brain in front of it.
💸 A ~$30 Fire Stick running tinyCam shows all your Hik cams on the TV. Sideload = 1 app, not a gamble.
🆓 Got an old Android phone in a drawer? That’s your brain for $0. Same result.

> **💸 The $30 fix — Fire TV Stick + tinyCam Monitor (pulls Hikvision RTSP, multi-cam wall)**
>
> tinyCam reads Hikvision RTSP (the camera’s raw video feed) natively and paints every cam on the TV. This is the whole answer. People run it on a basic Fire Stick — confirmed, not theory.

>
> Any old Android → tinyCam on it → HDMI cable or Chromecast to the TV. Always-on, free, same multi-cam wall.

> **📺 No box at all — run a viewer straight ON the LG WebOS TV (homebrew)**
>
> Your LG can side-load real apps via webosbrew. There’s even an RTSP web player that runs in the TV itself. Zero extra hardware.

> **📡 DLNA path — push the feed into the TV's built-in media player**
>
> Restream RTSP as DLNA and the LG’s own player just plays it — no app, no box, uses the TV’s native media player.

> **🌉 Site A → Site B — carry the Hik stream across networks, no port-forward**
>
> Same trick as your last setup: a mesh VPN makes both sites one LAN, so the TV-side box pulls the cameras like they’re local. No public IP needed.

> **💡 5 real ways to land this cheap**
>
> 1. 🛒 Buy ONE $30 Fire Stick → sideload tinyCam → all Hik cams on the living-room TV, done today.
> 2. 📱 Old phone in a drawer → tinyCam + HDMI to TV → $0, always on.
> 3. 🧊 Weak Fire Stick stutters → switch tinyCam to the camera’s SUB-stream → smooth on cheap hardware.
> 4. 📺 Don’t want any box → webosbrew on the LG + RTSP web player → the TV itself is the viewer.
> 5. 🏢 Cams are at the other site → Tailscale links both → the $30 stick pulls them like they’re next door.

The TV was never the problem. It’s a screen waiting for a $30 brain — or the one already in your drawer.

Sooo the problem is we can not have an always on device at Site A to stream the cameras through RTSP. The cameras are streamed through cloud with a 5 minute timeout. And that is why I can’t even use tinyCam. The TV is manufactured by “Level” and it is WebOS.

Ahh that clears it right up — and good news, the Site A problem basically vanishes 🙂

That **5-min cutoff is your _current_ cameras’‘’ cloud** (classic EZVIZ consumer cap), not a real limit. Swap to proper **P2P cams — Reolink / Hikvision / Dahua** — they stream 24/7 with no timeout, and each one beams out from Site A on its own. So there’''s **zero always-on box at Site A** ✅ — the camera _is_ the device.

For the WebOS “Level” TV: just open the camera’‘‘s **web client in the TV’''s built-in browser** (Reolink has one → [web access guide](https://support.reolink.com/articles/360003913793-How-to-Access-Reolink-Product-via-Web-Browsers/)), no app needed. If that WebOS browser feels laggy, pop a **~$20 streamer stick on the TV** and run the app there — that’’‘s Site B, not Site A, so it doesn’''t break your rule 👍

📷 one tip: grab **wired/PoE** cams, not battery — battery models disable web access to save juice.
