This topic distributed desktop software that asked members to type their Udemy account username and password into it. Those credentials were sent to a private server run by the poster.

His own statements about that server contradict each other:

“Your Udemy passwords are fully encrypted at rest on the database” — original post

“why i need to store users passwords? i don’t store any kind of senstive users info and data!” — post #134

“I have removed the complete database because of some issues, it was storing user info, so I deleted all users’ data!” — post #165

:shield: If you used this tool, do this now

  1. Change your Udemy password — and anywhere else you reused it
  2. Turn on two-factor authentication
  3. Check that account’s active sessions and login history
  4. Uninstall the application

:no_entry: Why it was removed

Never type a real account’s password into third-party software that offers to “automate” that account. Once entered, there is no way to verify what happens to it.

Selling licences and routing members to off-platform payment links is also not allowed here.

I have seen some people giving Udemy coupon codes where any course costs ₹399. How is this possible? Is there any way to get such coupons?
