Do this step by step: 1. Backup chats (if possible) 2. Remove all modified WhatsApp apps 3. Uninstall WhatsApp completely 4. Clear leftover data 5. Install only the official app 6. Register your number again 7. If you STILL get “Unofficial WhatsApp / Need official WhatsApp” One more important thing: if your phone has a custom ROM / rooted / Play Store says “Device not certified”, this error can keep coming. In that case you usually need to go back to official firmware or a certified ROM before WhatsApp will fully trust your device. ---

If you haven’t solved this: 1. Backup your data somewhere (go to settings\>backup\>and choose an email)\> If you are using newer android phone, connect your phone to a laptop\> Click your phone and find a folder called Android\> data\>copy the whole folder called WhatsApp to somewhere safe on the laptop. 2. If no backup needed or already done the backup: - Are you rooted? If not rooted\> uninstall whatsapp\>check settings for OEM unlock and turn this off\>clear playstore cache adn restart your phone\> reinstall whatsapp from Playstore and login again. ---

That “Unofficial Whatsapp Account …. Download Official Whatsapp” error pops up when you’re using a modded version 🫥 WhatsApp blocks them now , (i had same issues…). Just: - Uninstall the modded app completely - Download the **official** WhatsApp from Play Store - Install and try logging in again Might need to wait a few hours or 1 day if it got flagged. ---

Quick truth first: **“Unofficial WhatsApp Account” is not a ban and not a bug** — it’s WhatsApp’s mod-detector spotting a GB/FM/Yo/Plus build.
