Originally published at Chinese site Baidu, the screenshots show off the new Windows 11 user interface and Start menu. The UI changes look very similar to what was originally found in Windows 10X before Microsoft canceled that project in favor of Windows 11. From a report: _App icons are now centered on the taskbar, with a new Start button and menu. The Start menu is a simplified version of what currently exists in Windows 10, without Live Tiles. It includes pinned apps and the ability to quickly shut down or restart Windows 11 devices. The operating system is identified as Windows 11 Pro in screenshots, and we can confirm they are genuine. Microsoft has been dropping hints that it’s ready to launch Windows 11. The software giant is holding a special Windows event to reveal its next OS on June 24th. The event starts at 11AM ET, and the event invite includes a window that creates a shadow with an outline that looks like the number 11._ An [ISO of Windows 11](https://betanews.com/2021/06/15/windows-11-leaks-online/) has also leaked, according to multiple reports. ---

Thanks for the links, easily imported the Mega @ashme & @TheATOMiZE Did you need to activate it with a key? Does it nag for activation? I thought Win 10 was the last ever version of Windows. Looks like MS still needs this cash cow. So there will be Win 12 and so on… And then Win 15? (Because 13 and 14 are bad luck in Asia) ---

You can upgrade from the previous version. I think it is upgradable from Windows 7 also. Yes, it needs activation, same as Windows 10. ---

MS have consistently been saying that Win 10 is the last version and that everything else is going to be incremental updates. Added to this the fact that, AFAIK, they haven’t actually mentioned Win 11 in any official release, just new UI elements, makes me deeply skeptical about this. ---

These articles pretty much confirm Win 11 will be announced on June 24. They hint at “11” in the teaser and the event starts at “11” am. Furthermore: And keep in mind, On BBC, Microsoft confirmed they will discontinue updates of **Windows 10 from 2025** and Windows 11 will be under an event from 24th June, and Officially lauched till next few months, so, **whoever wants to get hands-on it, you should wait and wait for Official release to avoid such glitch/bugs** , because, Windows 11 yet under **Preview only** , not officially live. **Good luck!** ---
