Three steps

1. Buy the domain — Cloudflare Registrar: a .com with WHOIS privacy on by default. Name it like a company: yourcompany.com. A .com or .net reads as a business address.
2. Set up the mailbox — Zoho Mail, the free plan: one domain, up to 5 users, 5 GB each, on the web and in the Zoho apps. Create [email protected].
3. Apply for the credits — Claude for Startups, using that email address.

The DNS records — add them in this order

Send a test email to yourself before you apply. A domain that sends and receives mail reads as a company.

What you get

• $1,000 in API credits, one time, granted on approval.
• A free year of Claude Team — up to 5 premium seats, for companies new to Team.
• Both are claimed in the Claude Console, on the Startups page.
• No email arrives — the Console shows the status as verified by itself.

How long it takes

• The review runs up to a week. Anthropic’s own wording: “We aim to review every application within one week.”
• A .com is $10.46 at cost today; the registry price goes up on 1 Nov.

What the application asks for

• The domain email address, your website, and a short description of what you build.
• Your investor, when you have one — bootstrapped, pre-seed and venture-backed all qualify.
• No payment method. Anthropic states you do not need to add one.

Guys don’t even need to but email service one domain is enough for you , just use with your existing Gmail account and setup just email routing

Applied and let’s see how it goes and I didn’t used Zoho, I used gmail + Brevo+Cloudflare for email routing and hosting. in India you get first domain from godaddy for 1$.
