Some things don’t make sense to us right away, because when information reaches our brain, it first goes to the most primitive part. In other words, it reaches our emotions, our gut. And as the hours pass, that information moves upward to more sophisticated areas, like the prefrontal cortex, where our goals and higher-level thinking live.
This happens to me all the time: the information hits me in the gut first, and two days later it finally clicks.
Another thing you mention is that discovery pushes us out of our comfort zone. And it’s precisely when we’re outside our comfort zone that our brain expands and grows.
Thank you so much for sustaining such a beautiful community. It meant a lot to me during a very difficult moment, and this has been the best year of my life. The push you give people is truly impressive—especially taking the time to reply on Discord.
