🪤 Five things that quietly cost people

❶ Leave the 7-day free trial alone while financial aid is pending. Clicking it cancels the application. Review takes 14 days.

❷ The $299 “Developer Premium” is gone. New signups closed; it folded into Google AI Pro/Ultra. Every guide still selling it is stale.

❸ Same certificate, different price by country — $49 US · $39 AU · $29 MY. Open your country’s Coursera page for the real number.

❹ Exams moved Kryterion → Pearson VUE on 2 Mar 2026. Older vouchers still redeem. Hold on to yours.

❺ Arcade 2026 (15 Jan → 31 Dec) pays swag for badges. The prize tiers run on a waterfall with finite slots, and it eats the same lab credits your badges need. Pick a lane. Multi-accounting it gets people banned.
