I have amassed a pretty nice collection of tech courses over time, and lots of it is thanks to many of the tips and tricks shared here on 1H. As a way to give back, I am organizing it all into a TD in honor of the 1H community. (Let me be clear: this is not an officially endorsed initiative by the admins. It is simply one member sharing their personal collection with the community.)
As I am in the process of doing this, it dawned on me there might me some other folks in similar positions-- so if anyone is interested in contributing, please contact me so we can get this show on the road
Alright people, I think I added everyone who sent me their e-mail via pm. You should all now have access to the TD.
I just wanted to reiterate that like everything at 1H, this has become a community effort as well. And tbh I am quite new to this organizer role. So, with that said, mi casa es su casa, y’all. Feel free to point out if there is a better way of doing things and I’ll gladly comply!
Let’s make this TD the best it can be for the best community on the interwebz
I would love to. Although, most of my collection came from 1H comminity and the previous site, I still managed to collect some resources through other means. my email is [email protected]. Please add me into the TD account so that I can do whatever I can.
i’ll pm you dude, i have around 1.5 TB or probably more of software development, programming, etc courses
on the other hand i have a suggestion: you could establish some rule concerning the formatting/naming of the folders or something like that, because 99% of the TD’s im in are a horrible mess and its difficult to find stuff.
umm i m already in many TDs and Forums having courses…so i see no point in creating more and more TDs …with same stuff..so not interested in contributing for now…sry and i dont hv any og stuff of my own to contribute anyway
Anyway, from about 20 “contributors” it had the last time I checked, there were uploads by 5 or 6 different people at most, including the OP and yours truly. Anyway, it was nice while it lasted; but it wasn’t going to work if 70% of the supposed “contributors” end up being nothing but leeches.
Do you mean the TD has been taken down by the original owners/admins? Which extension was it created from- the california college or taiwan?
You are right though, whenever there are too many leechers of a hack, it’s bound to go down sooner or later. Same happened to the edu mail of costa and the netflix bin shared few weeks back.
The principle is: make good use of it while it lasts!!! Nothing free lasts forever and there are no assurances. Nothing says it wont be taken down even without the leechers. I think fair usage policy also matters. If people keep uploading pirated stuff into the TD, the admins are surely gonna take ir down. Remember they can see virtually everything from the backend.
It is well. Let’s enjoy it while it lasts. Bottom line is i always prefer backing up my stuff into my local external HDD. I have about 10TB or thereabout of my personal collection.
Cheers!!!
