Caret Lifetime license trick !!!

  • Download the official app from Caret
  • Install the application
  • Open it once and close
  • Goto C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Caret\electron-cache
  • Open license file with notepad, remove everything and paste
{"key":"MAXIMUM-EFFORT","username":"DEADPOOL"}
  • You can put anything in key and username :sweat_smile::sweat_smile:
  • Open caret again go to Menu->Help and check for yourself

Thanks for the post liV3. Just one question which files edit on Linux as the electron-cache isnt there? or is there a trick for Linux?

Ofcourse linux has entire different file-system/architecture.
My guess would be ~/.config/Caret/electron-cache
