a telegram group will be a better idea imo
every person can be given a batch (with admin rights according to their badge)
a bot to manage channel(of course it is also there in discord)
telegram is more user friendly when compared to discord

But discord is more stable, cross platform and easy to maintain

Everyone here is not used to discord it is good for gaming and for a forum kinda thing
a chat like UI will be better none is gonna use things like voice calls(idk the exact term for it)
a telegram channel linked with group will be better @Aina sorry to tag you please consider creating a channel in telegram
