🧑‍🔬 Free: 6 months of Google's best AI — 10,000 seats, and "researcher" is the only ticket

:admission_tickets: Six months of Google’s top AI tier, free — 10,000 seats

On the table: Antigravity’s highest usage tier with Gemini 4 Argon, six months, $0, for non-commercial research. Opened 13 October · 20,000+ applications · cohorts going out weekly. :hourglass_not_done:

The ticket has one line on it: “researcher”. That title is built from paperwork anyone can assemble — four pieces are free and finished in a weekend. :brain:

The weekend four

  1. :id_button: ORCID — five minutes, 16 digits, and the mandatory field is cleared
  2. :page_facing_up: a public write-up — a PDF on Zenodo or OSF mints a citable DOI
  3. :graduation_cap: Google Scholar — your profile appears days after the DOI is indexed
  4. :classical_building: a lab page — free GitHub Pages with project, preprint, methods and contact

The fifth piece: an institutional address — three doors, sized honestly

door what it gives you
:graduation_cap: a real enrolment a full university mailbox and every student perk — ASU Universal Learner courses run about $25 each for credit, and formal admission brings the mailbox
:test_tube: a non-profit lab collaborator credit and a reference letter: Reef Check and Remote Ecologist both take remote volunteers
:scroll: RIIS Fellowship a citable academic affiliation through the Ronin Institute 2.0; annual dues apply and applications run in review rounds

Filling the form — institution (exact legal name) · institutional email (.edu / .ac.uk / .org) · public lab URL · then 300+ characters in this order:

Problem: [the bottleneck, one sentence]. Approach: [your method + how an agentic workspace helps]. Deliverables: [paper, dataset, tool or model] in 6–12 months.

Two things worth knowing — the tier granted is Antigravity’s highest usage tier (the “Ultra” label circulating is a nickname) · University of the People is tuition-free, so budget its assessment fees (about $7,260 across a full bachelor’s) into the plan

Apply → the interest form · second door with the same paperwork: Gemini Academic Program :bullseye:

It’s not free.

AlexDiverse makes a fair point — worth double-checking every “free” claim in guides like this before building a plan around it. The ORCID plus Zenodo DOI route is the one part I’d actually trust, since that’s genuinely how independent researchers publish. That said, I’d be cautious about the affiliation shortcuts: if there’s any human review in the application, a week-old affiliation with no publication history is exactly what a reviewer would flag. Has anyone seen whether this program’s review is automated or actually looked at by a person?

how can we fill this form out so that we have a big chance of getting the highest usage tier in Google Antigravity and advanced Gemini 4 Argon model, free of charge?

Is there someone here that was able to successfully do this?
