INDIAN BIN
Indian checkouts refuse the BIN — the first digits, which say which country issued the card. Three ways to end up holding one with the right digits.
| What you’ve got | Route | What you walk away with |
|---|---|---|
| ① Assemble it | PinePerks RuPay — a genuine Pine Labs Indian BIN | |
| ② NRO account, remotely | your bank’s own Indian-BIN card | |
| ③ Off the shelf | crypto-funded RuPay, if you can get in |
① Assemble it — no Indian bank, no Indian ID

PinePerks RuPay Prime · portal — bought like a gift card, no application, no bank. WOOHOO = 1.5% off on UPI.
Zingoy Prepaid — lifetime free, single document — signup hard-codes +91, so Indian number only.
Why hop 2 clears, where it breaks, and the ₹-cheap test that settles it
Why it clears: the storefront runs on PayU and Paytm, both documenting international card acceptance for one-off payments. Juspay, fronting a large share of Indian checkouts, states it plainly — “Do you support international cards? → Yes, Supported for Visa, MasterCard and Diners.” Its signup carries a country-code selector, not a fixed +91, which is the whole reason this chain uses it over Zingoy. The e-gift version lands in your account, so the physical-delivery rule never applies.
Where it breaks: the signup code has to reach a foreign number, and the seller’s gateway has to have international cards switched on. Recurring stays shut either way — this is a card, not a mandate.
The test: one voucher at the smallest denomination. Code lands and payment clears, the chain works. It doesn’t, you’re out pocket change.
② Indian passport, OCI or PIO — remote NRO
21 Indian banks onboard non-residents on an international mobile number, across 12 countries. Passport · visa or residence proof · overseas address · PAN · one video call · ~10 days, couriered abroad.
HDFC Visa NRO Debit — remote onboarding, cleanest of the 21.
Revolut India — licensed 04.04.2025, residents only, waitlisted.
NRO, not NRE — an NRE account only takes money wired from abroad, so a rupee off-ramp can’t feed it.
All 21 banks by name, plus three instant cards if you already hold an Indian account

RBI Certificates of Authorisation — every licensed non-bank issuer, with dates. Check a seller against it.
RBI Master Direction on PPIs — para 7.5 lists what may load a prepaid card.
RBI Card Issuance Directions — Indian debit BINs are banks only; prepaid is the non-bank door.
Government mirror — for when rbidocs bot-blocks you.
FIU-IND registered providers — the lawful crypto-to-rupee off-ramp.
1% TDS at source · 30% flat on gains · no offsetting losses.
🏗️ One level up — run the card programme yourself
Transcorp International — 431 prepaid Visa ranges across 44 prefixes, BSE-listed, the issuer behind other people’s cards.
OmniCard / Eroute — its own RBI PPI licence, publishes no BIN.
Don’t pay for: anything advertising “India BIN · USDT · no KYC” (foreign BIN, Indian marketing) · BIN 466517 (Xfers, Singapore) · a pick-your-BIN menu promising India (none exists — ISO 7812 ranges need national-standards sponsorship).
Nobody sells the whole thing. Every piece of it is on sale separately.
Yuze terms. Transcorp’s PPI terms prohibit crypto-sourced funds — fund it in rupees. ↩︎
