iPhone photography hacks for taking better photo!!

  1. Good Lighting

Having good lighting is the most important thing when it comes to photography where that be with iPhone or any kind of camera. Lighting generally decides whether you are going to capture good photos or bad. So my advice would be to face the lighting rather than turning your back to it, as that would make your background brighter than the rest of your photo thus making it look darker.

  1. Choose Better Locations

This one is also very important when it comes to taking better photos. It’s simple good locations, hence better photos. Location plays a huge role in a photo as it adds depth and meaning to it. I mean no one likes a photo taken next to a ‘trash can’ if you know what I mean.

  1. Turn on HDR

HDR means High Dynamic Range if you turn it on, your phone will expose for brighter and darker areas in one photo. So if you have very strong sunlight and dark shadows it will make things in the shadow more visible and prevent the highlights from being completely blown out white.

  1. Shoot at Golden Hours

Golden Hour is the magic hour where you will find stunning lighting for your photos, golden hour is basically the period of daytime shortly after sunrise or before sunset. If you want amazing looking photos then take your photos during the golden hours.

  1. Take a note of your background

Well this one is a bit same as the location but, background is the objects appearing behind your photos. Let’s say your location is great and your photo also looks great but there is a teeny-tiny thing behind you or next to you which is ruining your perfect photo. By removing that object/thing you will make your photo better, this is known as observing or taking note of your background.

Bonus Tips:

  1. Crop your photos

Yes, cropping your photo can actually make it better because sometimes when you take photos it doesn’t come out straight meaning the horizons are not set properly so by cropping you can straight out the horizon which makes your photos more appealing to the human eye.

  1. Clean your camera lens

Your camera lens sometimes might have dust in it which can affect the picture quality so cleaning it before taking a picture will certainly improve the picture quality. So don’t forget to clean your lens before shooting.
