Need a salesman | Web developer starting to freelance

Hi, I’ve been learning web development for the past couple of months, I have build a portfolio and some projects, but I find it difficult to start to freelancing because I’m not good at sales.
I’m looking for a partner from this Community who can deal with the sales part of freelance, while a deal with the technical part, if you think you can do it send me a message please,
I appreciate any advice on sales too. Thanks!

As you said that you’ve been learning web development for the past couple of months. I think you don’t have enough experience to talk about selling. In my opinion, you have to have at-least 1 year of experience in related fields because you lack lot of things that actually make you a web developer.

If you want my advice then try working on real time projects( a lot of projects i must say). Trust me I am working on this field for a couple of years now and I have done a lot of projects but still I think I lack something. One last advice will be that, clients doesn’t want to know(some of them want to know that you’re a real deal or not but not everyone) how many projects you have build but they want how actually you understand the clients requirements and put it into reality.

PS. Yeah I also thought of the same thing you did when I was just starting but It is actually a lot of mess until you are experienced one. I will help you once you have completed more than 50 real projects.
Have a good time. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Web development is a highly saturated field with feirce competition for every last penny. You will have negative roi if you hire sales people for it. You wanna hire sales people for something which has high demand and low supply not for some service you barely know and has fierce competition.

That is false on so many levels. Not sure if you are a web developer yourself. There is a MASSIVE shortage of GOOD developers given the demand for it. People and companies will still pay you a lot if you are a commondo developer. It all depends whether one wants to develop about us pages the rest of their life or build complex applications.

Hi,
I think that it is great that you have shared here.
The responses are realistic but nevertheless sometimes we have to try things anyway.
If this is your dream and you have been training for this then do not let the slight negativity put you off.
I know someone who started off similar to you about 18 months ago and now they are working for themselves. In fact, I hired them for their first project.
PM me. Let me see your portfolio and perhaps I can provide some positive advice.
Good Luck!
