I’ve been in affiliate marketing for 2 months now. I started with a lot of excitement, thinking I’d make progress quickly. But the reality is different until now, I’ve had no earnings, no sales, no wins… nothing.
I’ve been learning, posting, trying different things, but I still feel like I’m stuck in the same place. Sometimes it gets frustrating because I see others succeed, and I keep wondering what I’m doing wrong.
That’s why I’m reaching out. If anyone here has been through this stage and managed to break through, I’d really appreciate your advice. How did you get your first sale? What actually worked for you?
Any guidance, tips, or even motivation would mean a lot
Before you start an affiliate business, you need to solve your traffic problem. This means you need to generate traffic on social media or your own website, build trust, and encourage them to buy from you. Alternatively, you need to implement a clever cold email strategy. Otherwise, success is impossible.
Like another poster has said you need to sort out your traffic first and once thats done my advice is to join the groups of those people that have already made money online ( its what i have done ) and learn from them there methods and hacks it will cost you a bit of money but will save you wasted time and effort oh and beware of scammers and people peddling methods that don`t work find the real good honest people ( they do exist ) , anyway try this YT channel its the best for free traffic and hacks methods that work often for free … https://www.youtube.com/@profitcopilot
I also tried affiliate marketing, the “free version” of it, as I suppose you are doing the same. This will take a lot of time, building trust, and gaining your first $. The fast route is the paid one. if you want to achieve your first dollar ASAP, you need to spend money on paid ads. Mostly FB ads, and after you gain some momentum like $5k -$10k, you will need to use YT ads. They will boom your profits. But you will need to spend a massive amount on daily ad expenses which will bring it back almost simultaneously. That is what I learned from Alex Micol. He earns $14M monthly.
I actually managed to solve the traffic part I got some solid numbers on Pinterest, hundreds to even over a thousand people seeing and liking my posts. But then they shut down my account for spam.
What I noticed though is that even with all that traffic, nobody bought anything. That’s why I think the real challenge isn’t just sharing valuable content or driving traffic it’s actually learning how to sell and convert those views into sales.
I don’t know where you live, but Pinterest traffic outside the US is completely garbage. When I learned about it about 7-8 years ago, it became a platform I never wanted to hear about again. Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are especially perfect for affiliate marketing.
Thanks for sharing! That makes sense about ads. Do you think that’s where a mentor really helps like showing which ads, niches, and strategies actually work? Because I feel like without proper guidance, it’s easy to waste money testing everything blindly
Well, I would prefer you not use multiple requests to shout for a subject that is already being solved. Isn’t it yours??
Anyway, a clear, practical roadmap to achieve success and earn money with affiliate marketing — not just theory, but actionable methods, resources, and starting points.
