In India government is giving too much reward for making alternative of Zoom to stop infiltration of security or privacy of data from China.
So my Question is why aren’t we making such app/software ?

10 indian tech giant have already been shortlisted to develop the app out of 10, 3 will be rewarded, to name few HCL,zooho etc.

I think whatsapp agreed to store their indian customer data locally in India and not in United States. And also WhatsApp abides by Indian laws . So government didn’t feel the need to make a Swadeshi WhatsApp. Also there are many startups who created “WhatsApp” but they did not gain the popularity which WhatsApp enjoys . Take the example of hike chat app . Had hike been taken care at government level then I think it was very much possible that it would have competed with WhatsApp.
