Microsoftโs terms allow a one-time refund of the most recent recurring charge if you cancel within 30 days of that payment.

Why $1 buys less than it used to: this offer was a full month not long ago. Itโs 14 days now. If youโre waiting for the old deal to come back, thatโs the direction itโs moving.
Price context โ Xbox cut prices in April 2026: Ultimate went $29.99 โ $22.99, PC Game Pass $16.49 โ $13.99. The trade: new Call of Duty games no longer arrive day one โ they land about a year later. Existing CoD titles stay.
So whatโs actually worth the 14 days? Premium gets Xbox-published games within a year of launch, plus the back catalogue โ Diablo IV, Hogwarts Legacy, Forza Horizon 5, Minecraft, GTA V. Ultimate is what holds day-one releases, and Ultimate has no $1 door.
Plan the fortnight: 14 days is enough to finish 1โ2 campaigns. Decide what youโre playing before you pay, then download on day one โ the clock starts at checkout, not at install.
