I’m a complete beginner to TikTok geo-targeting, but I got really inspired by a great post on here a while back that talked about reaching audiences in specific countries (like the UK/US). Unfortunately, I think the author deleted the post before I could take proper notes.
Since I’m starting from scratch, could you guys share the best, currently working ways to target a specific country on TikTok?
Specifically:
- Is getting a local SIM card (e.g., UK/US SIM) enough on its own?
- What else do I need to prevent TikTok from detecting my actual location (VPN/residential proxy, factory resetting an old phone, changing region/language, etc.)?
- Any common beginner mistakes I should avoid so my account doesn’t get shadowbanned or stuck in my local region’s algorithm?
Any advice, step-by-step guides, or tools you recommend would be massively appreciated!
