Hi everyone! I’m a content creator based in India, but most of my content is multilingual, with a lot of English as well.
I already have a TikTok account where I’ve been consistently uploading content and I’m getting a pretty good response. The problem is that this particular account doesn’t seem to have access to Creator Rewards/monetization. I honestly don’t remember which country/region I selected when I originally created the account, but currently I only see access to LIVE Gifts.
I’d really like to start earning from the content I’m already creating. I’m considering whether I should create a new account properly from the beginning, but I’m unsure whether that would actually make me eligible or whether there are regional/account requirements that I need to meet.
I also understand that TikTok’s monetization programs are not available in every country, and I don’t want to do anything that could violate TikTok’s rules, trigger a security review, get the account demonetized, or result in a ban.
So I’d really appreciate advice from creators who understand TikTok’s current monetization rules:
- Is there any legitimate way for an India-based creator to become eligible for Creator Rewards?
- Is it possible to monetize my existing account, depending on its current region/account status?
- If I create a new account, what should I know beforehand to make sure I’m setting it up correctly?
- Are there legitimate alternatives for earning from TikTok if Creator Rewards isn’t available in India?
- Has anyone in a similar situation successfully gotten monetization/access restored?
I’m looking for the safest and legitimate route rather than trying to bypass TikTok’s regional restrictions.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
